If Butch repays an old debt by hiring DeBord, he's quite simply making the same critical mistake Fulmer made with Clawson and Dooley with Sunseri. I hate to see that happen, because we have so much potential to be national contenders, but we had a team in 2012 that could do a lot of damage, and didn't because of one really stupid Coordinator hire.

Sal sucked hard, but I don't think this is that at all. Sal changed the whole scheme and tried to completely rebuild the defense. This hire would strike me more as a "don't rock the boat" thing. No new scheme and certainly no need to throw out everything that is there...as Sal did unfortunately. No doubt Sal was a huge blunder for Dools
