JG starts. South Carolina jumps all over Tennessee. Garbage time for JT in the late 3rd and all of 4th.

JG gets the nod again (WHY GOD WHY). Team somehow hangs on and scrapes past UAB. Maurer comes back after the UAB game and goes on a 3 game win streak to secure a bowl bid.

I agree with your implication that Maurer will not play at UAB. Two concussions within a week has to be taken very seriously. I hope this is not a sign that he is fragile as he seems to be talented.

Vanderbilt University Medical Center has a Concussion Center that focuses on research and treatment of concussions. Let’s hope for the best for him.

I think he should sit for a couple more weeks. We’re learning so much more about concussions and I think it’s worrisome for the kid to play too soon after sustaining 2 in such a short window of time. But we don’t know what the symptoms are maybe his concussion was minor and they took him out more as a precaution. We just didn’t know. But if there’s any question just sit him. He’s got a lot of playing for us left ahead of him. Hopefully
