You have to kidding. Have you watched the Broncos this year? Perhaps the worst coached team in the league. Awful penalties, poor game planning, and a ton of underutilized talent.

Didn’t we just go through this?

Yep!...Sounds like the type of hire we would make too..Sadly

Why would this make sense? He’s had zero college experience he’s been in the league his whole career. Looks like another Jim Bob Cooter situation without the success? Don’t see why we would want him and it really doesnt seem he would be interested anyway?

Like the above poster says, McCoy is an NFL coach--and a good one. Always has been. Zero chance he moves to college. Denver has serious QB and offensive line issues. Elway's recent drafts have been mostly bad. He thought Lynch would be the answer at QB and he's apparently been terrible--still young, but terrible so far. Elway has tried to go cheap at offensive line and Broncos have paid the price--they haven't had a good offensive line in years. Elway is just making McCoy the fall guy for his bad decisions.

Some may look at a partial year and draw conclusions. Others may look at the totality of work and extenuating circumstances.

Fine. Let the "others" hire him. I will judge him based on his actual head coaching resume.

Has to have a target that he was fairly certain he could get for Tennessee to be indicating to recruits that we'll have someone around the 10th or before.

Seen this multiple times, not sure how accurate it can be. Why would an AD be allowed to contact recruits? Not sure a school official can indirectly or directly speak to recruits.

Yeah, he's had very little to work with. Let's face it, even when the Broncos won two years ago it was because of the defense.

Let's look at the QB options out there

1. Brock Osweiler - Current Starter. He's the "best" of the 3 options. Got cut by Cleveland.

2. Paxton Lynch - He can barely read a book much less a NFL defense.

3. Trevor Siemien - He wasn't even a good college QB

Paxton Lynch is actually a very smart guy lol. Guy was full nerd at the U of M.

Why do we keep wanting to go after coaches that have been fired? Jeff Fisher, Les Miles, etc. We are Tennessee, and start acting like it, and need to be catching guys on the way up and not the way down. If this can't be portrayed to coaches we are looking to hire, we've got the wrong AD.
