New commit!!

He will be one of those players that people will groan about if he commits. He is 3* and his final 3 is UT, Cuse, and Rutgers. Fulmer did tell him that he'd love him to be our next Jamal Lewis. He has listed offers from UConn, Oklahoma, Rutgers, Syracuse, Temple, Tennessee, and James Madison. Doesn't have gawdy stats and is pretty big for a RB at 6-1 247. His speed/strength numbers are as following: 4.5 40, 250 bench, 545 squat, 31 vertical, and 4.5 shuttle. I could see him as a FB and maybe a short yardage RB(which we don't really have).

You sit out of school for the football year and enroll during the winter. It keeps you off of the roster for a year.

Brooks did not commit to UT and in his words it will be 2 weeks before he decides where he is going.

He does like UT alot and was at the press conference dressed in orange but has not committed to anyone.

Brooks wants to play FB and Fulmer let him know that is the reason they are recruiting him.

UT will sign between 28 and 30 players, backcounting 3 to 5 players.

He is commitment number 19

I just wonder why we already gave off so many scholarships to those "below the average" in-state players? Because we have a down year last year, and Fulmer wants to make sure he can at least give all of them off?

Cooper will be playing FB and he is already a 240 lb load coming out of highschool plus he can run.
