Nico Heisman Hype begins

It makes a lot of sense, though. Plenty of 2nd year QBs have broken out and made a Heisman run: Johnny Manziel (won), Michael Vick, Rex Grossman (should've won), Lamar Jackson (won), Bryce Young (won).

Seems like the best college QBs need a year of learning and then breakthrough in the 2nd season, and Nico looked like he could make that leap, and he did it against an elite defense.
