Offensive Line stinks

This is the main takeaway from the game. Oline does stink. Trey Smith is not a first round draft pick.

GA probably has the best defense in the country. Yes a little disappointing the way the line played however I’m much more disappointed in Chaneys play calling to stop a blitz!

I don't think they stink, they just got out played big time. And no we are not the best in the SEC. But they are serviceable and will beat other teams.

Is it inferior strength (coaching), technique (coaching), talent (recruiting), or some combination thereof?

I hated the pub the oline got this week. Yes, we were goos against Mizzou. Yes, its a talented group. But the GA front 7 is without a doubt the best in the country. Practice time is more crucial for the offensive trenches than the D.

If things were quiet, not hyped, we hit Ga a as a perfect trap game with Bama looming. Instead our line is overhyped, the Dawgs front is motivated, and we get manhandled. Period.

This group is talented, they will overwhelm less talented d fronts, and get more cohesion and better with more practice time. But it is what it is today. The offensive is built to succeed in 2nd & 3rd and managable. We had almost none of those situations. The few we did, we actually converted at a decent clip. We had no run game & completely abandoned it. We got into way too may 3rd & forevers and called way too many long developing plays that resulted in turnovers rather than punts.

Our offensive identity centers around 2nd/3rd < 5. JG can manage our offense, and occasionly hit a shot on first down enough for us to be a really good team. Hes not Josh Dobbs, where 3rd & 20 is still a realistic possibility. We have to stay ahead of the sticks. Thats not uncommon. We couldnt do so today, and the outcome was predicatable.

This is still an 8-2, 7-3, team...we actually match up better with bama than ga. Lets not go full retard over a game against a team whose strength completely overpowered our strength.

With four 5 stars it can’t be recruiting. Maybe Pruitt needs to think about finding a new OL coach , except Will Friend Is his “ friend”. -1 yard rushing Against any team is pretty pathetic.

Did you mean to use blue font about the Bama comment?
