I'm sure some of the players are glad to see Butch gone. Some will not and some will regret losing their position coach. Regardless, those willing to give the new staff a chance will be the foundation. Those who won't accept will move on and that benefits both player and school. Not the least bit concerned about how the current roster reacts to this move. The program is moving forward with or without them. Hope they remain and frankly I think the roster will be very positive to this new staff. Might just show them what they've been missing.

You do have to feel sympathy for these guys. You only get 4 years to play, and you're upended after 2 by your coach being fired, and in total limbo as to what is going to happen now. The coaching carousel hurts a lot of people when coaches just bolt for something better or get canned for lack of production.
