I remember someone doing a thread like this a couple of years ago. I thought it was neat and was interested in seeing new opinions.

Pretend that you're a highly sought after recruit and everyone program wants you. You get 5 official visits to take at their expense. Where are you going?

My 5

1 Hawaii (Experience Hawaii and the views)
2 UCLA (The girls and get out to Cali)
3 Oregon (To see the facilities and mountains)
4 Tennessee (Would still want to experience it here)
5 I'm having trouble with deciding

Where would you guys go and why?

Oregon, Stanford (if I’m a bust, atleast I am likely to end up financially safe), LSU, Boise State (one school in BFE), and #theFAU

I'd probably visit

Hawaii ( to see family)
So Cal (same as above)
Ole Miss (Hookers & blow):)
Alabama (to troll and sabotage)
Tennessee (my Mecca)

then I'd shock the recruiting world...sign with Austin Peay:blink:

Other than UT which is always #1

1. USC, actually did 2 semesters there back in the day, better chicks and scenery, UCLA sucks in comparison
2. Miami
3. Stanford, you talking about campus life, fugeddaboutit
4. Arizona State, routinely makes it to the top of the list for party schools
5. LSU, beignets, booray, chickory coffee, crawdads, and black voodoo beer

Note my chances of ever having ice on my car windshield during the winter would be very remote at my choices.

Stanford (great academics, solid football)
Bama (cause they’re the gold standard as of today)
UGA (go see what Kirby’s building)
Auburn (continue checking out the best SEC teams)
Clemson (see what’s up with Dabo)

Side note: for those saying Hawaii, they don’t allow 5 star recruits to take officials there. They know they’re not going to commit, and they don’t have the budget to pay for all those expenses it takes to get someone out there.

I think if your main goal is to make the NFL then the school would depend on your position. TBs go to Bama or UGA. QBs I still think have to favor Stanford looking at it's history making NFL qbs. DBs Ohio State for sure. OL Wisconsin. DL I think maybe Florida. The Gators are tied with North Carolina for the most first-round picks on the defensive line (four) over the past decade. Kickers I have no clue.

Miami - the renegade school. Also it’s Miami.

USC - LA

Tennessee- Duh

Texas - a whole state lives and breathes that school. Vince young probably hasn’t paid for a meal in a decade in the state.

Wake Forest- great academics, plays decent football.

I’d take Duke over Wake: academics, better than Wake in football and great basketball.

*I actually was going to put Duke where I have ASU

So wake over duke is more of a personal thing. My dad went to Wake and I’ve spent a lot of time in Winston.

I will say this, in college, whenever we visited Duke, we were always shown a good time.

No need to take an official visit to UF...been there dozens of times before finishing high school.

In football:

Tennessee
Texas
Cal
Miami
Notre Dame

If I'm a 5-star in hoops, I'm going to Spain to play at age 16 or 17. Be a millionaire with more life and basketball experience at age 19 than the college grads in the NBA draft.

Yeah, but still you wouldn’t have the same stage if you went to UK, Duke, UNC etc. and play in the final 4 and balled out. There are so many resources at these schools now it’s out of control.
