Which Women's Coaches Would Jump

Proving that UConn has learned nothing from the Holly disaster of lifetime assistant rising to the throne. Or maybe they did learn, and Chris will be the designated "can't follow the legend" coach for a couple of disappointing transition seasons then they move on (NOT waiting 7 years) to the real next coach.

Also, if Chris is head coach, they'll need a replacement "hold me back Alice coach" who pretends to restrain the outraged head coach as he whines at the refs. Geno and Chris been doing that dance longer than Fred and Ginger on the silver screen. Hard to imagine Shea Ralph pretending to restrain Chris would be half as entertaining.

Dailey is an associate head coach not an assistant. Her pay reflects that. One major difference between her and CHW is that she is the team's disciplinarian. She is the one that enforces the rules.

whatever happened to Louisiana Tech and their great dynasty?
They screwed the pooch by only offering/insulting Kim Mulkey a one year contract and off to Waco she went. Kim compiled a 21-9 first season at Baylor after the Lady Bears had finished the previous season at 7-20. The rest is history.

True story.

IDT the name coaches like Muffet, Tara, Kim or Geno would be willing to come to UT. They've built their own successful programs at other schools like Pat did at UT, and they're well-compensated where they are. IDT the new elites like Dawn or Vic would be eager to come, either, for the same reason. They're also building legacy programs at other schools. And there really aren't any former LVs ready to step into this job-- or wanting to coach at this level.

Sure, UT will make the calls when a move is made, but there are going to be some respectful no's from top-tier coaches who're happy and successful at their current schools. It's very unfortunate that UT doesn't have a succession plan, but that's what happens when a revolving door of ADs have kicked the can to the next guy.
Holly was the succession plan for Pat. No way Holly would not be successful.

Wes Moore coached at Maryville and Chattanooga. I think he is a UT grad as well. Although he’s 61. I guess he could be the Barnes of the LVs.
Big Moore fan, he got his bachelors from Johnson Bible College. He interviewed and said he is staying at N.C. State where he coached under Kay Yow. Would have been a homerun hire imo.
