While Kouandjio is waiting to kick his recruiting process into gear.
“Right now I got eight schools, Alabama, Cal, Maryland, Miami, New Mexico, Notre Dame, Tennessee, and Wake Forsest,” said Kouandjio. “Right now the season is starting and with most of my games are going to be on Saturdays so I am going to need to wait till after we finish our games to take officials and cut the list more than the eight I have right now.”
With Tennessee making the cut from nearly 50 scholarship offers Kouandjio spoke about the interest he has in the Vols program and the chances to land a visit from him.
“Well a big thing I like with Tennessee is the fact that I could get there and play early,” said Kouandjio. “Playing time is important for me as I am looking to get onto the field as soon as possible and at Tennessee I could play quickly. I also like the fact that they play in the SEC which is one of the best conferences in the nation. The coaching staff is looking at me to play tackle and they certainly are recruiting me really hard right now.”
With eight schools left on Kouandjio’s list and only five official visits Tennessee looks to have a shot at a visit.
“I think the chances for a Tennessee visit are good,” said Kouandjio. “I just need to sit down after the season is over like I said to nail it all down and get going.”
