Four-star offensive lineman James Stone (Nashville, Tenn./Maplewood) is the latest edition to the roster for the 2010 Under Armour All-American game.“I was talking to some of the other players and felt like it would be a good game for me to play in,” Stone said.
The 6-foot-5, 297-pounder was added to the roster earlier Tuesday after accepting the official invitation.
“It’s going to be nice going down to Florida,” he said.
Stone has struck up a friendship with Under Armour All-American quarterback Phillip Sims (Chesapeake, Va./Oscar Smith), an Alabama commit, during the recruiting process and Stone added that is looking forward to participating in the week’s events with his friend.
This marks the second straight year that one of the top prospects in the Volunteer State has been a part of the Under Armour All-American game. Last year, wide receiver Marlon Brown of Memphis played in the game and the current Georgia Bulldog scored the game’s first touchdown on a pass from USC quarterback Matt Barkley.
