Hogansville, GA- Offensive athlete Quan Bray is currently sitting on around 30 offers from some of the country’s top teams. This explosive 6’0″ 180 lb athlete is one of the most talked about recruits coming out of Georgia. In a year where the state is loaded with some elite talent, that’s a pretty hefty compliment. Quan is called upon to carry a major portion of the offense at Callaway High. He talked briefly about his current recruiting status.
“I have about 30 offers right now. Clemson, Alabama, Kentucky, Florida, Tennessee, Florida State, Duke, Stanford, are just a few of my offers. Right now I would say that Clemson, Alabama, and Georgia are recruiting me the hardest. I don’t have any favorites or anything right now, I’m going to work on narrowing my list down later this summer probably, after track.”
Although he has not done a lot of camps or junior days at this point, he has scheduled a visit over to Tuscaloosa this weekend to see what the Tide have to offer.
“I’m very interested in Alabama. You’ve got to be. The coaching staff gets after it, they make you work. I’ve been to the campus and a few games before. The campus is real nice, real big. I stayed with my friend who plays over there, he works on recruiting me over there. I really want to see them at practice, see how they work.”
Quan mentioned he is in no hurry to make a decision, he’s simply taking it all in right now. After his trip to Alabama, he has not made any real plans yet, but he’s in the process of making some. He talked a little about a few other schools showing interest as well.
“Tennessee offered me, and I have not spoken to the new coach, but he has sent me some mail so we’ll see what they do. Florida State is a school I have some interest in. I’ve never visited and I need to so I can see what they are about. Oregon though, they send me some mail. I’m definitely interested in them, I would love to visit if they let me, I think I would fit in well with their style of play.”
Quan offered a brief explanation of his game and some goals for next season.
“Our goal is to get through season, win state, put in lots of hard work. I want to get over 2,000 rushing yards and 1,000 receiving yards next year. I have a lot of ability to be a play maker I think, to do whatever is needed. This spring I’m just focusing on getting bigger and stronger.”
