Vols-Tigers on CBS at night

The University of Memphis announced Monday that Tennessee’s Nov. 6 gridiron matchup against the Tigers from Liberty Bowl Memorial Stadium is being televised by CBS College Sports Network and kicks off at 7 p.m. Central time (8 p.m. Eastern).

The game marks the 23rd meeting between the Vols and their cross-state opponent, with Tennessee owning a 21-1 record in the series. UT claimed a 56-28 decision last year at Neyland Stadium. This year’s contest also is the 11th meeting between the teams in Memphis and first since 2006, when the Vols won 41-7.

Tennessee opens its 2010 season under head coach Derek Dooley on Sept. 4 hosting UT Martin.

UT ANNOUNCES 2010 DISH NETWORK ORANGE AND WHITE GAME AND FANS DAY SCHEDULE

The 2010 DISH Network Orange and White game is scheduled for Neyland Stadium on Saturday, April 17, at 2 p.m. Tickets are $5 and can be purchased at uttix.com or at the game.

Proceeds from this year’s contest benefit the American Red Cross and campus beautification project.
  
“The fan support shown over the past several months continues to impress the new coaching staff,” said men’s athletic director Mike Hamilton. “Fans Day and the DISH Network Orange and White Game are great opportunities for fans to continue showing their support while getting a glimpse of what to expect this fall.”

Fans Day begin at 10:30 a.m. at Haslam Field. Gates open at 9:45 a.m. along the Pat Head Summitt Street entrance. Stadium gates open at 12:30 p.m., with kickoff scheduled for 2 o’clock.

The Big Orange Upgrade Vol Packs are now available and include one Orange and White game ticket, one Adidas sack pack and one spring football POWER TEE shirt. The shirt design was voted on by fans and includes the 2010 football season slogan, “All Your Might.”

Students are admitted free to the game with a valid UT ID. Students must enter through Gate 23. Because of construction around Gate 21, there will not be a Vol Walk before this year’s spring game.

Sirius XM Satellite Radio is carrying the Vol Network broadcast on Sirius “Best of XM” Channel 216 or XM Channel 200.

10:30-11:30 a.m. – Autograph session at Haslam Field. First 7,500 fans receive free Fan Pac. Only one autograph item per fan is permitted.
12:30 p.m. – Gates open at Neyland Stadium
2 p.m. – DISH network Orange and White Game
