Memphis, TN.- Recently the University of Tennessee and head coach Derek Dooley did a great job of snagging a couple of commitments from some in state targets. One of the biggest targets for the staff is offensive jumbo athlete Cameron Clear. Clear recently participate at Gridiron Kings after taking part in Florida’s Friday Night light’s camp. Here’s the latest after those trips with a new top 5.

“I met with all of the coaches at Friday night lights in Florida. They haven’t offered yet but they are talking like they are pretty big on me. They told me they want me to play offensive tackle. I still would like to play tight end or at least tried out at the position first. I also visited Ole Miss, Alabama, and Duke recently. Alabama was a great workout and they told me that they still want me to play tight end.”

Clear now has developed his top 5 schools at this time. But he also mentioned he is still open to other schools and all are equal among the five.

“My top 5 is Alabama, Florida, Tennessee, Duke, and Ole Miss. I want to take all five official visits before I decide and right now it will probably be those five schools.”

With a recent hot streak from a pair of in-state commitments, Clear talked about Tennessee’s recruiting efforts.

“Tennessee is talking good, coach Dooley is talking about how he wants to use me in the offense and some situational defense. I would line up at defensive end on those defensive occasions.

Lastly the social network has pushed hard into the recruiting arena. Even Clear has taken part in the action on twitter.

“I love twitter. It’s a fun little networking deal. I can be followed @Cam30Clear on twitter.”
