DA’RICK ROGERS UNDERGOES SUCCESSFUL SURGERY

Receiver expected to be fully cleared for spring practice participation

The University of Tennessee announced today that sophomore wide receiver Da’Rick Rogers underwent a minor procedure Friday morning to repair an injured right index finger. The procedure was successful, and Rogers is expected to be fully cleared to participate in spring practice.

Rogers earned first team All-SEC honors from the AP and was named second team All-SEC by the league’s coaches after catching 67 passes for 1,040 yards and nine touchdowns during the 2011 season. A native of Calhoun, Ga., Rogers has 78 receptions for 1,207 yards and 11 touchdowns in 25 games played in two seasons at Tennessee.
