Can anyone tell me where they stack up vs. our previous opponents? I know they have Fowler but overall are they better than UGA? Thanks I'll hang up and listen.

I know their secondary isn't great aside from Hargraves but I didn't know how their Dline is. I think I read their number one tackler was out for this game.

They are down a starting DT in Orr, and likely an LB as well.

They are a pretty good line with athletes, not "better" than UGA, but comparable.

Fowler is a stud and will cause lots of issues, but outside of him they are pretty average.

didnt know they were down 2 guys though... that helps...
the line for UGA didnt put much pressure on Worley, they got to him with CB blitzes and LB stunts for the most part, and didnt stop the run all that much... IMO,UF's DL is better, but not sure how 2 guys out will affect them...

So far their average is 1 sack a game. Forgot where I seen that but its good news for us.

After thinking on it I might've seen that in a Bleacher Report article so take it with a grain of salt. I think they factored in that first game that got cancelled so could've distorted the stat.

It's the best part of their defense, but it's no OU defensive line. Maybe slightly better than UGA, but their secondary is too atrocious to help out.

Thanks for the info guys. I haven't had a chance to watch them this year, and with their struggles they aren't getting many write ups it seems so not much info out there. Thanks again

Or good news for them depending on how you look at it.

UF's D line may be better, but UGA's front 7 is better. UGA had the 2 top tacklers in the SEC last year at LB and we were still able to run on them.
Looking at 2013 stats for tackles: #30 overall, LB Michael Taylor, questionable for the game #53, DL Dante Fowler #99, DL Jonathan Bullard #126, LB Neiron Ball. The rest had < 20 combined tackles each. This group only had 7 sacks. Taylor was the only player from this list to miss significant time due to injury.

georgia didn't get the pressure OU did but they got enough to knock worley out for 3-4 possesions.we have gotten better each game and should be a little better at pass protection come saturday.

I think their low sack numbers are an indication of their own fear of making their secondary more vulnerable. If you blitz, you had better be secure on the back end, and they haven't been too secure back there. I casually watched most of the Kentucky game, but don't remember how much they brought pressure.

that was a LB that hit Worley, and most of the hits and sacks were blitzing cb's and LB's...

and I'll agree with UGA has a better front 7 than UF...

Man, that sack total for MO has me less confident now considering our OL play.

maybe we get Indiana's OL to transfer to UT... or maybe we should be worried about Vandy also... Mizzou hasnt played anyone outside of USC....

I wouldn't say that UGA is better but I do believe they are more talented. Also it's important to keep in mind that UF just gave up a school record in yards and were it not for Bama's inability to hold on to the dang ball the score would have been even more lopsided. I said it earlier after the OU game, Bama, UGA and OU are the best front sevens we are going to face this season. Everyone else is various degrees of good to average(Vandy being way below average), I would put Florida solidly in the good category. We should have success against that secondary and our D should hold up just fine, if Worley keeps playing like he has and the O-line can play a little bit better I think we have a real good shot at winning this ballgame.
