Post game assessments rightfully skewer the defense but I’ll give them props for one thing. Last year’s version watches Richardson leg out 200+ yards instead of 60 imo. No more Kenny Pickett becomes Lamar Jackson for a day.

Yup. That was more of a great play by Miller than bad play by Fant. Shaq Leonard does that multiple times a year on NFL guys.

Still, I bet he puts two hands on the ball next time.

Funny thing about UK being ahead of is that they received a huge booste for beating Florida and has played no one else. They have also struggled against bad competition. Yet we beat that exact same UF team and have also beat another top 25 team and yet it doesn’t matter. This is why teams that play no one benefit more than playing a tough schedule.

I thought Fant rebounded with a nice remainder of the game after that play. He knew Miller got’em on a great play and snap and cleared.

I have watched Napier coach in person several times and yesterday for 25 minutes he controlled the game. It was typical grind it out, run the clock offense.
The Vols were able to flip the switch and change the game to a Heupel game. Over the years Heupel has coached similar games. Bend don’t break defense, looking for turnovers. Hopefully here at UT Heupel can build a better defense with better recruiting. If he does, we are going to be trouble for the SEC.

We beat a ranked team. Georgia struggled against Kent State. We shouldn't be the ones complaining.

Our soon to be new members texas and oklahoma both lost to unranked teams.

People downplay the defense because of our offense, but I want to be great on both sides of the ball. I've always been a big defense guy. I like offense. I really like our offense. But defense is where my heart is.

Pic quality good but the experience is lacking. I was annoyed when they would show a replay but we’d already be up and running again. I watched a game on fox last night (can’t even remember who) and noticed that they quickly went to a double screen to show a replay and not miss any action due to a quick snap. CBS continually plays catch up in our games bc we’re fast. Amateurish.
