Does anyone remember the point spread for that game? I’m just curious

In my opinion, Fulmer and Hamilton should have been gone before the 2008 season even began, just a wholesale absence of leadership at that critical point in time and regrettably, it didn't improve very much over the next 10 years, the university and the athletic department embarked on a piss poor hiring spree, signing long term very expensive contracts to those individuals least suited to carrying out those functions, aight

If you can't remember the dark days you won't enjoy the good times as much

I place 100% of the blame for sinking Tennessee football on Mike Hamilton. Fulmer gets a six year contract extension. David Cutcliffe leaves for the Duke job. Phil hires Dave Clawson as OC and he can't get it going with Jonathan Crompton. So fire the guy that just took you to the SEC championship game the year before? Moron. And oh yea, now Dave Clawson is having great success. I guess Phil could identify talented coaches after all.

Mike Hamilton fired Fulmer Wyoming game week ensuring a losing season so he could justify the coaching change. Otherwise why do it 4 days before the Wyoming game?
I wonder what year two of the Clawson offense would have looked like with Tajh Boyd running it. Don't get me wrong, I like where we are now but I don't think it should have taken nearly 20 years to get here. Hamilton can eat a bag of eggplant emoji's.

I disagree.

Wallowing in the misery of the past, will never allow you to be happy in the present

Brilliant idea to fire the coach with three games left in the season, and let him keep coaching the team. I guess we needed all that time to find Lane Kiffin who was unemployed after being fired by the Raiders.
Fulmer was first asked to step down at the end of the season and he refused, wanting that press conference with Vicky in tow

I don't think the Clawson hire was 100% Fulmer's

Wyoming
Georgia State

Two of the darkest days in UT history.
Nothing was as bad as the Matt Roark Bowl against Kentucky in 2011 where we lost to a bad KY team to end a 27 year winning streak against them (also knocking us out of a bowl) and the KY team literally had no QB on the roster, threw for 15 yards and still beat us using a WR at QB.

I’d rather forget and still enjoy the good times.
