The only way Auburn beats us is if we have one of those epically bad shooting days. As always, Auburn is tough, scrappy, plays strong D but struggles to score.

I wonder if Johnnie is on the hot seat. They expected to be much better this season.

edited bc I confused Madison Scott of OM and Taliah Scott of Auburn.

Scott has only played 3 games this season and I don't think she's played since November due to injury.

Gaston is their big scorer and she will be hard to stop put up 35 on SC. She is the one you have to limit Scott is out or she would be another to worry about.

Sorry, was confusing her w Madison Scott of Ole Miss, conflating our next two matchups. Auburn's Scott is Taliah who indeed has out virtually all season. Explains alot about their inability to score.

Auburn loses by two to Oklahoma so we better be focused.
Good point. Down by double digits, Aubie made a big 4th Q push to take the lead in the final 2 minutes. The game went down to the final possession.

Texas transfer DeYona Gaston scored 24 points – 14 in the final quarter – to lead Auburn. Gaston went on a personal 9-0 run to open the fourth quarter, cutting a 10-point Okie lead to 1 point in a span of 92 seconds.

Oh my goodness! I'm so proud of our LVFL Talaysia Cooper and just hope she continues to push forward in the maturation of her life and game. Talaysia is SO good. Right now, Today.

But it's entirely possible (IMO) she may even have another half- to full-gear-shift up to go to THIS SEASON -- in a pinch.

From what I've seen of her so far, Tay appears to understand the assignment but may still be somewhat skeptical of the teacher. I am sure I am not the only person to have seen the vid in which she gave Kim some side-eyed "Bee-otch, please!" vibes in a post-game setting. Kim was kinda throwing the players under the bus, and Coop was looking at her like, "Girl, you ain't right."

I could be completely wrong about all this, but y'all know I am a freakin' fiend for body language. Just sayin'.

(Yes, madtown and others, I acknowledge I may be totally full of crap for paying attention to such wildly subjective body language, but I mean well. )

BOTTOM LINE: The Tennessee Lady Vols have a legitimate shot at hosting the first two rounds of this year's NCAA Tournament, How freakin' cool is THAT considering there were folks who earlier had fear-posted predictions that the LVs could miss the tournament altogether.

I really think it is more likely that at the LSU postgame interview Coop was down on herself due to all her missed free throws and turnovers in that game and rather be anywhere else other than at a postgame interview. Honestly, I think Cooper's body language often seems to project that something is not right much of the time, whether in a game, on the bench, or in the interviews postgame after losses, the latter which is understandable. It doesn't necessarily mean that something is actually wrong, but it is a safe bet that she was really feeling lousy at that postgame interview.

This naming stuff is just over the top. What’s next?
Thompson-Boling Arena at Food City Center on the Pilot Oil Parking Lot with striping provided by your local TN Farm Bureau Insurance Agent.

Is she complaining yet? Last year it was everything school, now it’s sponsors/corporations giving to the program.
