Eh, probably not worth discussing. It's just a crazy world where entertainers are paid such ridiculous amounts of money. I know the economics of it all, and I know this particular contract is a drop in the bucket compared to many others, but things are just out of whack in general.

Merit and the Market are two different things, unfortunately. About the best we can hope for is a political/economic system that’s laissez-faire enough to avoid government controlling the money on the one hand and social democratic enough to avoid money controlling government on the other, both of which result in oligarchy. We aren’t doing so great at threading that needle right now, but it could be worse.

I don’t disagree but it’s bc of people like me and you that watch sports that cause them to be paid so much
