Recruiting Football Talk VIII

Have any of you watched Severance on Apple TV? Great reviews and hype. I’m on episode 4. Does it get better? It’s really slow and uninteresting so far IMO.
Severance has probably the best pilot episode of any show I've ever watched.

So I would say no, you should have stopped after episode one lol. The entire hook of the show is around the mystery of what is really happening at Lumon. If that hook doesn't have your interest the show isn't going to turn into something else.

I actually think the show has a pretty aggressive pace. But only in terms of that central plot point: What is happening at Lumon.

I do think the cynical humor is not for everyone. My wife likes the show but does not think the jokes are as funny as I do.

Imagine Saturday’s in the month of April have huge spring games/scrimmages?!

I've been beating this drum for years. Not sure about making a big rivalry game a spring game, but would love to see them be against in-state FCS opponents. I'm sure coaches would be hesitant because of the risk of injuries, but you could use a running clock and even shorten the quarters. QBs go down on touch instead of tackle. Would still be a lot more interesting than the current spring game format and would sell a lot of tickets.

Recently watched on Apple TV: Dope Thief, Blackbird, Presumed Innocent, and Shrinking. All were really good especially Blackbird. ( crazy true story about a serial killer)

"See"

Is another good one from Apple TV. Post apocalyptic world where everyone is blind. I know no one who has seen it, but it's pretty great.
