I don't think she will be going back to Florida State. She can get more Nil money at 25 places more than there. They put an outstanding team on the floor every season and draw 1500 fans.

I have heard rumors for weeks she was leaving and is a Tennessee lean. She wants to go to a team she thinks can compete for a Final Four next year. Didn't want to leave FSU from what I understand but they couldn’t recruit well enough to get her some better teammates.

Ta’Niya Latson and Coach Caldwell could have some mutual interest. This would not impact the incoming recruits. Lauren Hurst will likely have to play inside although there was a mention of her playing guard at UT which based on what I’ve seen from Boyd,
Civil, and Prawl would’ve been a tough task.
If this even becomes a real possibility then I think this impacts Avery Strickland and Kaiya Wynn more than any current or incoming Tennessee players.
Cooper, Whitehorn, Latham, Spearman, with potentially Latson are all different types of players that compliment each other.

Some of these players are not known as “team”’players. Remember, Coach Kim Caldwell is looking for “team” players rather than “individual superstars.” Could we find a player to be a “team” player, sure, but that’s going to be hard with some of these well known players announced thus far.

For me if we could get a player like Lattimore and Williams I think we can compete with anybody next season if none of the other players leave and with the freshmen coming in. If we add a guard like Latson just that much better cause she will have far more help at Tennessee than she did at Florida St. We really are not in the position to take three right now, but if we could this would be the three.

One thing to make note of, while there is so much actions and big name players entering the portal, we must also recognize that any of our players could also elect to enter the portal. If we continue to win, I like our chances of retaining what we have, but if we lose, the chances go up for transferring to begin.

The ones I am not certain of are Cooper and Latham. I feel extremely confident that Spearman, Boyd, and Whitehorn are staying. I'm not really thinking Cooper or Latham will get in just that they seem to be the most likely.

I know we need 1-2 bigs who are athletic, can defend and rebound, like Serah Williams and others similar, but if there are really good or elite guard who are interested you still take them... such as Latson I would love to have her on this team, she fits our style well.. plus the difference with us is, we actually do play 10-12 deep, with our rotation and sub style. So we can find minutes for people. plus just like in any sport you take all the talent you can get and let it sort itself out.

What I like about the portal is that all these coaches that bitch all season about it are the ones working it the hardest. If you hate the portal why you trying to get all the best players out of it?

All these players getting in the portal with 0.3 to 1.9 averages wonder what they are thinking? Do they think someone is going to be looking to grab them. Some are lucky to be where they are right now. 889 in the portal and probably about 200 that can help a team next season. Probably only about 75 that are very good to elite.

Many were probably encouraged to enter to help make room.

I just don't see her leaving FSU....The girl is just fantastic...I watched a few parts of FSU games and she was pure money at both ends of the court...She can drive to the basket, shoot the 3 ball, and defend like a tiger. The dreams continue.

This is one of Rickea and Ruby's high school teammates. That team from Detroit Edison had 4 or 5 years in a row with a top ranked Alll American in each class
