As long as NYC pays for it.
Agree. I’m saying let NYC pay for it out of their budget if they want to impose that on their city. However, that should not preclude any immigration enforcement or action on the part of the feds from going forward. Many took advantage of “just claim asylum” stance by the Biden admin to get here. Everyone should be vetted as to whether or not they can legally remain or be deported.I dunno. Even if NYC pays for it, they're here illegally and should be sent home. It's like a scenario at an apartment complex or adjoined condo units: one tenant's place is a mess, and is overrun by pests. Eventually, the other tenants will a) have to deal with spillover of pests into their units, b) have their lease/rent jacked up by the landlord to cover the increased cost of pest control, or c) both.
That said, the pests in the dwelling units have more right to be there than the illegals have a right to be here.

So ICE (IMMIGRATION and Customs Enforcement) got involved before her visa status was changed and revoked?Fresh Twist In Case Of Turkish Tufts Student Rumeysa Ozturk Who Was Detained By ICE
A Turkish student who was detained by ICE agents and hauled away to a detention center in Louisiana has now had her visa revoked.
Rumeysa Ozturk, 30, a graduate student at Tufts University in Massachusetts, is at the center of a deportation challenge over claims she was a Hamas supporter. She was seen in footage being detained by plainclothes ICE agents on Tuesday.
On Thursday, US Secretary of State Marco Rubio announced that Ozturk's visa had been revoked, saying at a press conference that she was one of several hundred students facing the same fate.
'It might be more than 300 at this point,' he said. 'We do it every day. Every time I find one of these lunatics, I take away their visa.'
While Rubio says he is charging ahead with the Trump administration's crackdown on activist students, he made the move against Ozturk as a federal judge in Boston ruled that she cannot be deported yet.

I'm aware. I'm just saying if NYC is going to do that, they should bear the financial burden. What "should" happen is most of these people should be returned to south of the border and start over with a student/worker visa or green card application since it was a complete fecal storm created by the last admin. But I don't hold out much hope of that happening.No. This has been an effort to import illegal census numbers to change representative and electoral numbers. It's not OK for either side to do this, even if they are willing to pay for it.
That's like saying, "If you want to rape someone, at least wear a condom."I'm aware. I'm just saying if NYC is going to do that, they should bear the financial burden. The wall becomes active with enough voltage.walls are a speed bump. their real intent is to buy the defender enough time to respond and be able to do so in a controlled manner. a wall (passive system) has to be backed up by some some of active system to actually be effective at keeping people out. otherwise it just slows people down.
That's not analogous to my comment at all. What I said should happen is that they "should" be returned. After that, if they want to come here by the correct and legal process, then they should apply for worker visas/green cards and start the application for citizenship, if they so desire, to gain entry back into the US.That's like saying, "If you want to rape someone, at least wear a condom."
No. Just say it's wrong and hold that line.
I didn't disagree with any of that. I disagreed with one party breaking immigration law for dirty pool political reasons, and trying to protect the practices at the local level. We're on the same page. My thought behind saying NYC should foot the bill and be on the financial hook for it is that, until this admin and the federal courts step in and do the right thing, shutting it all down and removing those that are here illegally is probably a ways off going through the channels we have to go through, then let NYC bear the financial burden of their own stupidity until such time where the wheels are set in motion to reverse this nonsense.I didn't disagree with any of that.
