It's going to be a sad night in Hicksville for the gumps tonight.

I get why people like Oats ball but if his teams don’t get back to playing defense like a couple of his early teams did, last year will be his peak.

You aren’t going to hit 20 threes 6 games in a row no matter how many shooters you have.

I still don’t understand the Sears hype when he’s a one way PG who gets exposed on defense….. just because he can score 30-40 with zero defensive play making isn’t better than ZZ.

Zakai is averaging 17-18 points and 7-8 assists in March. Given his defensive prowess, that’s a better PG than Sears who can score a lot.

I hate to say it, but I don't see the path for us to beat Duke if we see them in the next round. All their starters are 6'6 or taller with a 7'2 center. We can handle speed, but length, especially at the guard position is hard for us to overcome. It's evident how much it is affecting Sears tonight. As much fight and heart Zeigler has, he has struggled to shoot the 3 ball against length.

I'm really not sure what the recipe is to beating them. We would need all star performances all around and Igor would have to get double digit rebounds and have the game of his life.

I would say that the game was officiated differently and unevenly in terms of how they called fouls. One minute it was a huge physical game, the next it was barely touching him.

Sears isn't even close to being the point guard that Zeigler is.

I mean outside of ZZ I wouldn’t consider us “short” at the guards. Flagg will be a problem but he is one for every team.

I despise Duke but appreciate good basketball. This kid can do it all. Plus, he has the size to be successful in the NBA.

If we get there I will feel like we playing with house money. I bet the players do, too.
If they play loose and just ball out you never know. Duke has been beat this year and have had a few close games.
The pressure would definitely be more on them.

Going back to an old discussion point, the SEC tournament is why Bama is playing Duke and not Tennessee

So, the tournament mattered

We beat Bama head to head in the regular season. That assertion is not just cut and dry.
