Not true. Sears is a 1st team all American. He averages 20 points a game and is good at getting to the rim.Sears isn't even close to being the point guard that Zeigler is.
I don't think many thought the order of a particular seed couldn't be changed, but most were skeptical of going from a #2 to a #1.We beat Bama head to head in the regular season. That assertion is not just cut and dry.

I love Zeigler and wouldn't trade him for anyone. But if 6'1 Mark Sears struggled to get to the rim, it is wishful thinking to think Zeigler will be as effective as normal.
Zeigler has struggled against length in the past. One game that comes to mind is Kentucky gane 1 when 6'6 Jaxson Robinson was matched up at PG.
He can still control the tempo and dish the ball out, but I'm not expecting him to rely on him as a scorer vs Duke. We would need other guys, particularly our bigs to make up the difference.
Sears averaging 20 while being exposed on defense is not some massive gap from Zakai averaging 17 and 7 currently in March…..Not true. Sears is a 1st team all American. He averages 20 points a game and is good at getting to the rim.

He had a lot of running into players/drawing questionable contact and even flopping to help him along. I'm not necessarily interested in debating it but if I was that would need to be apart of the conversation.Congrats to sears on the accolades. However, I believe tonight has shown that he isn't deserving of that and is not better than Zeigler.
i didn't say there was a massive gap. I was arguing against the assertion that that Sears is nowhere near as good as Zeigler. Both players are good in their own right and both are AP All Americans.Sears averaging 20 while being exposed on defense is not some massive gap from Zakai averaging 17 and 7 currently in March…..
The school paper is not bound by Title 9 anything. And these two women chose to speak to the school paper anonymously. Just because it’s a Title 9 investigation, they aren’t bound or restrained from speaking to other people on it.It doesn’t say that either, they are very purposeful in specifying that the scope was Title 9 violations. There’s clearly more to this
Oh for sure. I watched it many times. I've seen him rush into guys like a fullback, initiating the contact, and then sell it as he was the one being fouled. I've even seen him do it and not even be looking towards the basket but to the refs, after he made sure to locate on and see they were watching. They award him and even give him the continuation or potential continuation.Drawing fouls was a huge part of his game. And SEC refs obliged him on it.

Florida has length and depth, but we played them tough in the tournament and split with them in the regular season. So, I have hope, though agree that it would take a flawless game with Lanier, Igor, and Gainey all contributing.Duke’s length is terrifying. I mean if we make it to San Antonio at all, I’ll be thrilled, but they are just a nightmare matchup. We’d have to play basically a flawless game to win.
