I agree, I don’t see us not taking a veteran PG. I’m excited for the twins, but they need someone to play with/behind that can be a mentor and a steady presence on the floor when they get shaky. I think we will have a minor roster shakeup and take three players, most likely a guard a center and a forward.

Watched the McDs AA scrimmage last night, our players look really athletic but made lots of mistakes. Pauldo over penetrated with nowhere to go several times and she, Civil and Prawl were all a little foul prone but also more active defensively than the other kids.

Mia Pauldo over penetrated...sure every one of the players did. That's what happens when you're not use to playing together. Mia Pauldo was a top 5 player out of that scrimmage. She made mistakes and corrected them quickly.

Any guard you get out of the portal isn't going to keep Mia Pauldo on the bench because her IQ is on a different level. Kaniya Boyd better improve quickly!

Mia Pauldo, Deniya Prawl, and Jaida Civil were outstanding in the practice session. Mia Pauldo was the best player overall on the court during the scrimmage and practice drills.
Prawl looked pretty dominant as well and has tremendous upside. She is a very strong rebounder for a wing player. Civil showed flashes off great potential. She could come out of this McDAAG as the MVP. She practices hard and has so much room to grow her game into a future AA in college.

Wells went through graduation ceremonies on senior day she may play elsewhere, but I don't think it will be Tennessee. It won't be kicking her off the team cause she went through graduation ceremonies which means your leaving. I know Fulkerson came back after doing it on the mens team but that was because they wanted him to won't be the case with Wells. We have our point guards and if they decide on another will be someone from the portal.

Avery can get a minute a game like she has been getting lately. Edie just wants to be a Lady Vol she knows she is not playing unless were way up in the fourth quarter.

If it is Wells leaving does not change anything still have two scholarships. If it is one of the others goes up to three.

I could be wrong but I don’t see any of them getting many minutes at all. Maybe Kaiya is happy to hang around as team auntie but don’t see how you pull mins fm younger players who need the experience

I just finished watching also …. I found the starting players and substitute players interesting! The higher ranked players on both East and West side started and lower ranked players subbed after 5 minutes in all 4 quarters. But going into the 2 overtime’s…. MIA and Civil played in every minute of both overtime’s….. coaches played the best players in the overtime’s ! MIA took over with tieing up Betts(6’4”) on a rebound and making passes , and 3 point shots … showing the #1 player a fake step and step back 3 pointer that was just beautiful. Civil is going to work well in the pressure defense scheme of Kim’s system … she may foul out in the first quarter . Until she learns to not be so aggressive? Her and Coop are going to terrorize some folks next year !!!
Prawl is more of a team player and will come alive once she realizes she can play at this level ! Everyone goes through this until that mental light turns on … Mia and Civil are already dogs as some people call them … Prawl will be a little later coming? Just My Opinion…. “We are getting some really good players.”

hey guys don't forget that our current players KNOW how good we can be next year. they KNOW we can win a natty and have the bodies to do it. that is huge when deciding whether to stay or go.

What the staff is trying to do is replace graduating players with an equal or better player. They are certainly doing that thus far.

Deniya Prawl for Puckett is certainly going to make the team better. Prawl is really developing a solid three point shot she is much better than she was a season ago. She can pass the ball definitely a three tier scorer and rebounds well and defends well.
Mia Pauldo for Spencer. Mia can do the job better passer, better three point shooter.
Mya Paulo for Darby much better passer, defender, and shooter.
Jaida Civic for Spear maybe just a slightly less three point shooter, but far better passer, defender, rebounder and everything else. Girl is a jet she should get between 75 and 100 steals in Coaches system.
We need a replacement for Jill and my first choice would be Williams.
Really don't know what role Hurst will play she can shoot the three for sure she may be the one freshmen with the most learning curb for next season.

Wynn coming back have to see what her role is she can defend and is quick her offensive game just not very good.

Cooper, Boyd, Spearman, Whitehorn, and Latham.

This is where we stand now for next season and if we replace Jill with a player we only have one opening for another player. I would think considering the roster you would have to use that for a four or five. If we get anymore openings with a player leaving then you could go for a guard or 3-4.

Here is the players coming back and you can only have 15 player no matter they be a walk on or scholarship player according to the new rule taking effect next season.
