When Gretzky played the rules of the game was way different. Final scores in Gretzky's era was 3-2. Ovechkin era 8-6 ...NHL just as NBA did changed the rules to produce more scoring to bring fandom back to the Sport. That’s crazy!
That record was thought to be untouchable.
Ovie is a hell of a player, that’s for sure!
My papaw was pissed over that last baseball strike. When Gretzky played the rules of the game was way different. Final scores in Gretzky's era was 3-2. Ovechkin era 8-6 ...NHL just as NBA did changed the rules to produce more scoring to bring fandom back to the Sport.
NHL had a lockout about 20 years ago and when the lockout was over viewers we're not watching, kinda like the Baseball strike of 94.
I lost a ton of respect for Glavine during that strike. Guess he was just looking out for himself and other players, but I didn't like it.My papaw was pissed over that last baseball strike.
He left baseball and never went back!

Where did you get that chick for @chuckiepoo from? Back ally streets of Las Vegas?
If NIL money keeps increasing for players then you will see a bunch of overpaid 18-22 year old primadonas in College Sports. Wonder how many quits watching College Athletics?I lost a ton of respect for Glavine during that strike. Guess he was just looking out for himself and other players, but I didn't like it.
It wasn't until the '21 BaseVols that I went back. Still don't give many rips about the majors, overpaid primadonas. Give me 9 guys who love the game and each other (or pretend they do because the code says so.)
Maddux: "I don't care if I never win another game, I'm hitting the first guy I face." Bro. Gave me goosebumps just hearing the guy tell that story. When men were men and they played a kids game for pride... and hotties. Salaries were trash way back when, but the wives have always been as hot.
That’s a top shelf Las Vegas Lady of the Night.Where did you get that chick for @chuckiepoo from? Back ally streets of Las Vegas?
We’re already there with the prima donnas. We have guys that enter the transfer portal or say they plan to enter all so they can get more money. It hasn’t seemed to infiltrate baseball as much but football and basketball are in theIf NIL money keeps increasing for players then you will see a bunch of overpaid 18-22 year old primadonas in College Sports. It’s not the strikes that ruin it for me. It’s whenever my favorite player retires I lose a lot of the interest I once had. Chipper retired I haven’t watched as much MLB, Peyton retired I haven’t watched as much NFL, Kobe retired I haven’t watched as much NBA. Whenever your childhood idols stop playing it kind of loses its luster.I lost a ton of respect for Glavine during that strike. So its all about the money? Is a good education ever discussed in the move? We’re already there with the prima donnas. I felt the same way when Bart Star & Roger Staubach retired. It’s not the strikes that ruin it for me. It’s whenever my favorite player retires I lose a lot of the interest I once had.
