2026 Vols Transfer Portal Thread

No coach in the college game has more earned a real commitment from donors giving him the chance to build this kind of truly talented monster roster and get a legitimate shot at a national championship before he is done. CRB is a class act who has always done it the right way, and hopefully he goes out in a blaze of glory.

Screw football season, can't wait for basketball camp to start.

My shot at it. Of course the freshman will sprinkle in but generally:

Hill (30)/ Ames (10)
Lundblade (25)/ Ames (15)
Harris (30)/ Haralson (10)
Haralson (20)/ Lue (20)
Rubin (20)/ Brown (20)

Terrance Hill Jr (30)
Juke Harris (30)
Jalen Haralson (30)
Dai Dai Ames (25)
Tyler Lundblade (25)
Miles Rubin (20)
Braeden Lue (20)
Dewayne Brown (20)
Find the 5 with the hot hand every game. Incredible what Barnes has done.

.... what if football season ends up being better than you think?

Don't want to get ahead of myself, but this team is insane.

The studs are obviously game changers themselves - Juke is an NBA-future talent who will probably be one of the best players in college basketball next season and Hill looks like he can make plays with the best of them (I think concerns about him as a PG will be silenced incredibly quickly), score effortlessly, and has the confidence you want in your lead guard. The complimentary pieces would be the best players on most other teams - Ames was a walking bucket in the ACC, Haralson was already great without shooting 3s and has so much room to grow, and Rubin has been one of the best shot blockers in the country and looks like he can actually score from close.

But in today's game, you need more than just five guys. That's why I'm perhaps just as excited about the fact that Barnes was talking up Lundblade (MVC player of the year as every opponent's top scouting concern, let's not forget) and Brown a ton on the RTI show last night. If Lundblade can hang in there physically and Brown continues to develop and "break out" this season, as Barnes seems to think they will...you have at least seven players that are at worst good SEC starters, with a handful of All-SEC/All-American talents in the mix.

The best defensive coach in the game, elite scoring at all three levels, finally good free throw shooters, the ability to go to any guy in the rotation for game-winning buckets... Lue and the freshmen doing anything is a bonus, wouldn't be surprised if at least one of them (most likely Lue but you never know) breaks into the rotation.

Sky is the limit, guys.

Goodman is so weird lol

On the whole, he tends to be dismissive / skeptical of Tennessee. Has a few good things to say every now and then about Barnes, but also doesn't seem to believe he's ever going to win the big ones. He was begrudingly in on the Dalton Knecht season, if I recall. But that was mainly Knecht. Just always sounds doubtful and dismissive.

They aren’t keeping up. Their projected bench showed Ethan Burg listed. Now that’s a deep bench—extending all the way to Israel?
Honestly I was thinking last night, I wouldn’t mind an alternate world if we closed with Favour and Burg was filling that last spot. At least he can handle the ball a bit, can shoot the three, seems like a team player, and adds a bit more continuity on a team very much lacking it. And he’s shown he won’t check out if he falls out of the rotation or doesn’t get much time

I appreciate all those involved. Honestly, I never imagined CRB adapting in such a fashion and the NIL era most likely proving to be the greatest run in his long coaching career.

The Wolverines will have an impressive front line and their point guard Cadeau returns. Definitely in the top 5. But as you say they got the Natty going into the fall.
  • J.P. Estrella (F/C): Transferred from Tennessee.
  • Jalen Reed (F): Transferred from LSU.
  • Moustapha Thiam (C): Transfer with two years of eligibility

McKinney is a stud too.

if you want a laugh, watch the field of 68 video covering the juke commit lol

"Experts" and national sports media pundits do not know more about your team than you do. It's highly likely they know more about other teams than you do, but there's really no reason to listen to what any of them have to say about your team. Exhibit A: having Ethan Burg listed as being on our team.

Awesome Portal Haul. We have a great Roster for this upcoming season. Now the off-season will be about getting players familiar with each other on the court so that this becomes a Team not a bunch of individuals. Will be exciting season. Go Big Orange.. Galatians 3:26-29
