Scripture — Acts 2:25 (NIV)
“David said about him: ‘I saw the Lord always before me. Because he is at my right hand, I will not be shaken.’”
Reflection:
When David spoke these words, his life was anything but predictable. He knew victory, but he also knew caves, betrayal, pressure, and seasons where the future felt uncertain. Yet in the middle of all of it, his confidence wasn’t built on circumstances being stable—it was built on God being near.
“I saw the Lord always before me…”
What we consistently place before our eyes shapes how we interpret everything else. If fear stays in front of us, fear often drives our decisions. If control stays in front of us, striving usually follows. But when the Lord stays in front of us, perspective changes.
“Because He is at my right hand, I will not be shaken.”
The right hand was a place of strength, protection, and support. David wasn’t saying life wouldn’t move around him—he was saying he would not be moved from who anchored him.
.
You may feel pressure this week. Responsibility. Decisions. Unknowns. But stability doesn’t come from controlling every variable. It comes from remembering who stands beside you.
And when God is near, you can move forward with steady confidence—even when outcomes aren’t fully visible.
Prayer:
Lord, help me keep You before me today. In the middle of decisions, responsibilities, and unknowns, train my eyes to look to You first instead of reacting to pressure. When fear tries to move me, remind me that You are at my right hand. Anchor my thoughts, steady my heart, and help me walk with quiet confidence—not because life is easy, but because You are near. In Jesus’ name, amen.
