2026 Vols Transfer Portal Thread

To claim TT can't play in the league just sounds like sour grapes. I think he ultimately comes back for another year though to try to be a sure 1st rounder because he probably would have to show out in these workouts.
If he isn’t going to make in the NBA because he is short, what many are saying, coming back is not going to help him. I think he has chance to make it but no guarantee. He may just not want to go back to school.

Kinda where I am with him. He might beef up and be a 6’ Brunson, eventually. But he’s gonna be the same player next year as he is right now. I’d go if I were him.

Makes no sense, especially if you can earn 3-4 million playug in college. He’s not going to make that as a 2nd round pick. Still a good chance he doesn’t get picked.

Tyler Tanner is in pretty much the exact same situation as KC was. Talented point guards, a little small, not gonna grow much more, both projected late 1st early 2nd. But as previously stated Tanner could make 4 mil by coming back and 4 years ago KC didn’t have that luxury. Granted he risks injury, but he’d still get paid. KC signed a 4 year 7 mil deal his first contract in the NBA, which was record setting at the time. Tanner is in a tough position. Go pro now and he’s one year closer to the second contract, that’s one positive. He’s making millions either way, not a bad problem to have

Christian Fermin visiting right now. VCU big that could provide some good depth. Got hurt last year but played 20 mpg each of the two season prior, averaged 5 ppg, 3.5 rpg and 1.5 bpg over those two years. Has one year left due to him missing last year
Will VolNation approve him as a big, given he’s listed as 6’10”?

Good news is he’s a 58% career FT shooter, so he fits the Vol tradition for our bigs shooting free throws.

I'd say the 1.5 bpg is the reason we're interested. But that FT% looks a little high if he's going to replace Carey.

He would be the 5th big on the roster. I would not expect whoever they get to play a ton, but they need a practical depth option at the 5 with some length+size

Wasn't hurt, but took a leave of absence from the team for personal reasons. That said, having seen him play on many occasions, he'd be a nice depth piece for this team. Though, as mentioned above, his FT% leaves a lot to be desired.

I was joking about the FT%. And taking a shot at Carey. Yes, I agree we could use another Big and he should be a defense-first guy.
