Think it’s vertigo with the combination of some mental health issues. Difficult spot for UT to be in because you want to support the person through challenges but at the same time you also have a team you’re responsible for.100%
if it's just "homesick" crap.......I'm done with him.
If it's a serious "mental issue," that's different. But I still say go home. And give us our $$ back.
He looks like he is dealing with a lot right now…View attachment 834228
Too busy flexing our NIL.
No, what you're describing is more like the British Parliamentary system where the legislature is supreme. Here, the Constitution is supreme (while subject to amendment). The clause about interstate commerce, for example. But I don't know if what you mean by "could" is that "it could [or could not] withstand a challlenge, depending on how the high court ruled, or that it definitely "could."If congress actually passes said legislation then it could definitely [my emphasis] withstand a court challenge as it is actually their job to establish laws and for the court to interpret said law. Getting them to actually do it is another story but the reason many are wanting congress is because that is the only perceived avenue to be able to withstand a court challenge.
It would be more likely imo, now that you mention it, that they would make changes to the Sherman stuff with an eye to something that would be destructive and highly unpopular but a boon to certain backers; but never mention any of that. Make it all be about football in public, and then sometime afterward it would be "accidentally" "on purpose" "discovered" that there are major implications that never could have passed without having been concealed in a football deal.Only if they avoid violating the constitution in the laws they make. The courts can definitely strike down laws that aren't in line with the constitution.
If they want to revise the Sherman stuff, that could definitely work. But I'm guessing that the MUCH further reaching corporate implications that could accidentally stem from that will prevent them from risking it. They're just politicking right now with the NCAA stuff to try to convince constituents that they're working on things the people care about.
Yeah, I’ve seen people getting on to Heupel for not vetting him properly, but if the guys you just brought in to coach the defense (and who just coached him at his prior school) are wanting you to sign him, how much more vetting are you supposed to do?How could Knowles, Poindexter and Jackson not have any incling that this could happen with Chaz? This is a failure across the board if he doesn't come play. Ridiculous.
I can’t say how much players are getting, but I think you’d actually be surprised how much they are getting. Pretty sure there was a suggestion that GMac was making 6 figures last year. Yes, he’s at a key position, but he was 3rd string. I’m willing to bet our 5th WR is making six figures.I don't think most of the non-blue chip types are making the kind of money people think. Kids like Miles Brown are probably only getting like 40-50k. Hence why he chose Kensucky because while he'd be a depth piece here, he's probably immediately in kensuckys two deep and they likely offered him 20-30k more. Which is a lot of money to walk away from.
But if when we sign 25 kids this year, they're not all making six plus figures.
Jog my memory, did we recruit:do y'all remember when we didn't recruit any DL? yeah me either
They should. That’s not a team/coach problem. It’s an NCAA schedule problem. Not sure there are good answers too with the academic calendar. But LSU and Ole Miss had the right to demand Kiffin go to LSU. No logical company/manager wants a lame duck employee sitting around their offices with their colleagues for weeks. The Lane Kiffin Rule will BAN coaches from leaving their teams before the season ends.
Would a coach challenge that in court?
