Bruce Pearl was in Charlotte this morning

My wife had to leave to go to New York City this morning, and caught a 7 am flight. Bruce was sitting 3 seats in front of her. She said he was wearing a UT Vols tshirt and that she said Go Vols! to him and he responded in kind. Wonder what he is doing down here seeing as how he cannot recruit off campus for a while?

If I'm not mistaken, the off-campus recruiting ban begins Sept. 24.
Good question, though.
Edit: No, I just looked this up. It began on the 4th of Sept. Dunno.

I don't think he is confined to his house, even if he needs to get better acquainted with the lay out of his house and what each room looks like....:shhh:

I read somewhere that it starts this Friday. Which would be the 24th. I think the 4th would have been before punishment was even handed down.

Who said anything about breaking recruiting violations? I simply wondered why he was in Charlotte and then headed to NYC. Tone down the rhetoric, chief.

im 100000 % behind bruce pearl. we all need to be. he loves this university and has takin this basketball program from the basement to the mountaintop...

After reading the "other voices" page in today's paper I have come to the conclusion that Bruce Pearl is the only coach in history to break the rules but even more shockingly he appears to be the first person on earth to ever tell a lie. Can we please just drag him to the public square and chop his head off already. If you read it pay special attention to the last paragraph of Jon Soloman's editorial from the Birmingham News. Absolutely ridiculous in light of the fact that we are all sinners. I guess there is nothing worse then a cheating basketball coach though.

There is an article on SI about Pearl speaking at HS coaching clinic in New York. Probably where he ws going.

He got off a plane here in Nashville from Atlanta at about 8:40pm. I saw him while waiting at the gate for my mom. Wanted to get a pic with him, but didn't want to disturb.
