'15 JUCO WR Camion Patrick

He'll be a vol but I wish they all would just be like sanders when they commit to us. Love this kid though. Talent galore.

Orangehammer has legit info. He knows Patrick's handler and his legal guardian. That is real. They like Alabama because they think they have the best chance at winning a national championship. Also, Arkansas has done alot of negative recruiting against UT (see Otha Peters) and they will be in Patrick's ear the same way.

I can quote basically what was said from a conversation I had with him....

"We about winning championships!" is what the guy told Orangehammer.

I won't guarantee Patrick does not end up being a Vol. But as far as I'm concerned, he isn't committed to UT right now and likely won't end up signing with UT.

This sounds like a fictional story.

ok.. :good!:

right or wrong, this came directly from the mouth of a guy considered very close to Cam. I wont eat crow because all I'm doing is relaying information, not making a call on where he ends up. But if he wants to win titles Bama is a lot closer than we are. Sucks but true.

So many insiders. All with info about as solid as a UGA silent commits

insider or not, which ive never claimed to be, it's very true information. take off the goggles and look at the real world. these are kids, and if their guidance is directed in another direction via a close family member they usually listen.

i know its funny. hell i went to the same high school as he did for two years, graduated a year before he got there but im sure that would qualify me as a bona fide insider in these parts. fyi im not bashing hammer here, i generally like his posts and input, just saying insiders in general.

thanks. i try to only relay info on here that will help key us in on recruits. im not an insider, but do have some eyes and ears out there. i mean football players brought recruits to my house last year while on their visits... still i'm not claiming to be an insider but this is def info worth posting, and listening to.

This sounds like a fictional story.

well put down the lorax and read this post, because it's very true.

and ps i'm really excited and hope he does stay a vol, but damned.. kids these days. i'll tell you what, none of them understand the meaning of what a commitment is. 60% of the time i'm committed 90% of the time, maybe even 99% of the time.. every time. geesh.

That's the dang word there

I fully understand winning is important, but him playing at Bama is equivalent to a power back playing for Urban. They just dont toss the ball that often.

believe me, I mentioned about the same statement to the guy. asked him "how will camion work in a system where a qb can barely get the wr's the ball, and the offense focuses on running the ball with their stable of 23 5* running backs?" and added that tn is more of a throw first, and sling it all over the field (i like more of a run first but it is what it is). Told him he would have more yards and be more successful in our offense.

All he could say it "man yall coaches not even gonna be there after next year, and what if Bray gets hurt, who gon get him the ball then?" Told him at this point I like our qb situation alot better than the other teams in the SEC, and that this year we would have a chance to show the rest of the SEC what kind of team we have. One now healthy, and with QUALITY depth.. sort of lol.

so that being said, we have a decent season and we hang on here. but if we falter, and bama is on top yet again, it's gonna be hard to hang on to some of these guys. championships make a programs energy level electric, like it or not. kids like to win, and unfortunately, some kids dont mind standing on the sidelines while other talent is on the field.. as long as the w's keep coming. gonna be a tough battle, hope we can hold on. V, B!!!!

Wow. What a commit.

There is some truth to what he said, but if whoever is telling you that is in his ear he doesnt have the kids best interest in mind.

I live about 15 minutes from Cam, and while I don't know him because we go to different schools, I know people around him. As well as just the general feel of what's going on.

It may be hard for some of you to realize, but Tennessee is not a popular school around here. And it's because we haven't been winning. Whether you're a die hard UT fan or not, you have to accept that fact.

Sure there are still die hard Tennessee fans here, but what can we really say to people who share the opinion of this guy who is supposedly around Cam? Nothing, because he's right.

Tennessee isn't popular in East TN? Hell there are still more Vol fans than not here in Mid Ten.

Not for my age group,(16-18) which is what Tennessee is recruitng.

Well we seem to be doing alright with the kids we go after in that area. That's pretty sad that the bandwagon jumping goes that far though.

Yeah, I think Dooley and Co. can recruit around it, but it's definitely the perception around here.

yup, really a better model is michigan. they struggled for a good 3-4 years just like us.

One 10 win season + bowl game W and they are right back where they should have been

Indeed.

Let's put up some Ws this year!!!

He isnt talking about Cam

its a person who knows Cam

almost right, it's a very important family member of Cams..

Unfortunately, he is right. Bama is winning consistently, and if he wants to jump on board, whether its his best interest or not, he'll have an opportunity to do so.

if he wants to be a part of something special, like grow up in tn (and a tn fan), play for his in state university, and hopefully help us back to the top of the SEC.. he'll have the opportunity to do that too.

personally, i don't see how anyone would want to spend any amount of time in Tuscaloosa. what a sh*t-hole.

first off, BUCK FAMA.

now that that's outta the way..

Jay, I couldn't have said it better myself. We did well years ago because we won, won, and then when times got tough, we found a way to still win. Not saying we have to win the conference every year, but if we win 9-10 games, and compete.. we'll get our fair share of talent here in Knoxville.

(edit) also, look at our last three years, and we're still (minus a few last minute flips) were still breaking the threshold of being a top 10 recruiting team. we recruit with the best with a horrible record. imagine the possibilities when we have a GOOD record going in..!
