Here is the question. Imagine what our team will look like next year if Bray, CP, Hunter leaves? Now add the fact that ZR and Rivera are grads, now add our defense players that will be here. Let that soak in.....
Now ask yourself this. Which coach worth anything will stake their future on this suicide mission?

if the recruiting is as good as everyone says it is, then people leaving school shouldn't be a problem.

the last truth that a lot of people on this board are not willing to accept is that the recruiting hasn't been as good as a lot of people like to think

It'll be fine. Our offensive line will be good. We have good WRs, and two good back up QBs.
Im pissed at hunter, he has all the ability in the world and can't seem to male the big plays this year. Bray was close to the bench earlier this season too.
One thing Dooley has done is recruit decently.

The entire OL is coming back next year, as well as Neal and Lane. The WR talent is there, it just needs experience. I have faith that Worley or Peterman will step up.

The offense will not be the problem... the defense will need to vastly improve.

UT is returning plenty of talent next year.

I did not think CP or Hunter would leave 3 games ago, but their stock has risen and is likely to improve even more these last 3 games. I think all 3 are considering it but it depends on their projections. None are ready yet but that paycheck is pretty tempting.

Not all of them have a nice house like Peyton's mom.

GO VOLS!!

True and once the coaching change is announced unless it is a Big Fish, which I think is almost impossible the recruiting will be even worse for a couple of years

1) Bray, and Hunter most likely won't leave. CP may, but even he may stick around. Bray and Hunter are not yet NFL ready. CP is electric enough to make it in the NFL, but his route running and hands need to be better. I think at least 2 of the 3 stay.

Yes, ZR and Rivera graduate, but you also need to remember that we have Drae Bowles, Jason Croom, Pig, and Cody Blanc that are going to be stepping in. Plus, Brendan Downs and Justin Meridith haven't really played all year, and there's gotta be a TE coming in that we have recruited.

We COULD possibly lose Jawuan James to the draft, but it's unlikely. Dallas Thomas is gone, but we are deep enough to fill the gap there.

As far as on defense goes, we lose Teague (no biggie), Rod Wilks (devasting blow to humanity), Prentiss Waggner (who has gotten screwed in this system, not anywhere near as good as he was last year), Bartholemew, Lathers (Big leadership loss), and Bohannon (who can be replaced). We don't lose much on defense to graduation.

I don't see why you call it a suicide mission. We have 3 quarterbacks on roster (soon to be 4 when Ferguson gets here) that are quality quarterbacks. We have a much better stable of running backs that may get even better if Green comes here. We have talent. We are not anywhere near the "suicide mission" we were a few years ago.

Back away from the cliff man. We've got PLENTY of talent. If we didn't think we did, we wouldn't be so ticked. We know we have the talent, we just haven't had them coached right. That's the difference. Give me a guy who knows how to coach these guys, and I'll show you a SEC contender. We just need the right guy to fix it up. Dooley ain't that guy.

Thats not the question. The question which Big Fish coach will come here with so many unknowns, including a fed up fan base?
Also remember everyone of our conference competitors is also thinking the same way about their recruits.

I don't think all those guys leave, but if they do, remember that on our bench sits a Gatorade National Player of the Year (Worley), and a QB that many believe is better than him (Peterman). We have plenty of talent...just a complete lack of player development on defense and poor coaching.

Look what a difference Pittman made in our OL in one year.

It's not a suicide mission. Rarely will anyone step into a high profile job and have as much good will from the fan base as our next coach will have.

Wrong again:::::: Dallas Thomas is a senior... He won't be back next season. I understand your message though. Most of the line will return next season and our first few substitutes will also be returning.

Of course it has. When everyone is yelling for a coaches head, nobody is gonna commit to play for him. Recruits know much more about what is going on than we do.

Promise, if we let Dooley go, and announce Gruden, recruiting will be just fine.

But I must say, while Dooley is not a GREAT recruiter, he has done well about feeling needs with quality players. We've gotten some good talent from his 3 classes. He did better than he should have despite the fact that he was losing. Now what we're seeing, is that the promising of winning isn't going anywhere. It's been 3 years, and he's still not winning. In fact, he's looking worse than ever before. You think any defensive player wants to sign up for what we've got? Yeah right.

Don't forget the schedule. At Florida, at Oregon, at Alabama. Three guaranteed losses for almost anybody. If you lose to Georgia or South Carolina, you have 4 losses. Lose to both, you're at 5. There is still Auburn, who will be better, and at Missouri. Good luck next year to anybody who wants to risk his career with that.

My point is if I am a big time coach i will not gamble my future on what ifs. So we will end up with a lesser hire. Your evaluation of the big threes readiness for NFL don't count. What counts is the willingness of NFL to throw a few million at upside of these players. Which is peanuts to NFL teams. Just look at Brice Brown for example.

A Dooley coached team with dwindling recruitment plus Sals D and next years schedule? I'm already on the cliff.

Dooley won't be here next year. There's no way you can leave tons of seats empty at a home game, and not see yourself out the door.

He has let our defense go from bad to an embarrassment. Believe me, he will not be our coach next year.

Could you imagine what Oregon would do to this defense? 1,000 yards of offense. At least.

Hey man...the Dooley lovers will tell you. The recruiting results are all of Dooley's master plan to blow up the S.E.C. any season now.

Agreed so again which Big Fish coach that this fan base keeps dreamimg about will take this job?

Wrong again? That was only once. The OL will be improved next year. Seeing as how they are one of the best groups in the country, that will be the strength of our offense. I believe you are underestimating what a great OL can do.

I believe Thomas and Gooch are the only ones leaving next year. I don't think Gooch is even in the 2-deep.

Based on schedule alone, I could see a scenario where Hart keeps Dooley. Don't agree with that but could see it.
