is Maryland's Brian Stewart. He has a proven track record as a DC -- imagine that! -- and he's apparently pretty darn good at his job. He's installed a 3-4 defense at Maryland that actually works. UM is currently 11th in total defense nationally compared to 108th last year.

However, the first thing we need is a new head coach, who will fire our dregs and hire a qualified staff of assistant coaches. Maybe he will consider Stewart among his hires, because it is evident we need someone besides Sunsuri running the D.

Having just left the University of Maryland, I can tell you they are an up and coming team, so I don't think he's going anywhere. And yes, some of those statistics are due to the fact they play in the ACC.

I know of a guy who has been a head coach and has a pretty good record. His offense is really good. Maybe we can hire an offensive co ordinator with head coaching experience? His name is Dave Clawson

I know of someone who has been a defensive co ordinator before and is on Saban's staff. If he has Saban's approval then I am all for it. Plus we can steal him from the enemy. His name is Sal Sunseri. I think he would be a wonderful defensive co ordinator.

My point is that just because they had succeeded else where does not mean they will succeed here......

Of course not, but common sense dictates that you target coaches who've enjoyed some success elsewhere, especially if they've excelled in the same position for which you're hiring them.
