To start a "Hire Gruden" chant at the game Saturday? No disrespect to Derek Dooley but we never said fire him. He could be the AD or GA or something.

Im pretty sure they already know our feelings, no sense in bringing it into the game atmosphere IMO..

Volnation has gotten so bad this month that I have to continually invoke Poe's Law. I honestly can't tell sometimes wether this is satire or people are being serious. Creationism and other evangelical discussions aren't even this bad.

I mean we did Boo at the end of the half when we were going for the FG instead of the Touchdown. We might as well start the "Hire Gruden" chant.

Why distract the D anymore than it already is. Instead of chanting for Gruden, yell and cheer for the team and show your support.

That isn't getting it done. We must simplify chants more so the defense understands them....it is hard for them to focus on 2 things at the same.

My point is this....everyone seems to be craving the next new flavor "gruden"! Everyone just knows he's the answer. I will shed this light on the subject. I can very easily see Gruden using this opportunity much the same way that Kiffin did. Do you guys really think he would be content to stay at UT for the long hall? I mean really? Everything about Gruden screams national football league. It is what it is. The thought of going through another Kiffin experience makes me want to throws up! Too many fans want to turn a deaf ear to the mess Dooley stepped in to. I'm not a doolaide drinker, but we have made more progress than most will acknowledge. If we had a solid defense we'd be celebrating a dream season. I agree Sunsari must go....give me a big name d coordinator and let's roll! Go vols

No, it would not be classy...

I would be like getting cut off in traffic and then screaming at the person who cut you off at the top of your lungs in frustration...

Classy? No... but it sure did feel good didn't it?

I just want to see the team win out and have some success to build upon for next season. I'm tired of these "pipe dream" notions about our next coach. Go Vols!

Well now, I do that all the time. It's fun. They can't HEAR me though. I think. :)

Not only would it lack class and be the wrong thing to do in ANY situation, it would be extremely embarrassing for the school if Gruden doesn't come. It would look especially bad if Gruden doesn't even give it a response.

And how would it make the other potential coaches feel knowing they are not the fanbase's first choice? It would hurt UT's ability to hire the next non-Gruden coach. And if Gruden did show interest, our chants would push his asking price up even higher.
