Don't get me wrong, I think Gruden is coming. I am taking you guy's word for it. Just don't see the media being involved yet.

He said he knows for a fact that Erin Andrews and Erik Ainge know that Gruden to UT is happening. Plus, Dilfer has been contacted about taking over MNF for Gruden. Basically people at ESPN, or have ties to ESPN are starting to find out.

Skeeter, I respect your opinion as well in recruiting but I have a question for you.

Kind of lengthy but just a question for everyone saying we are going to look at Jim Mora Jr.

Q: CJM has made about 30-40 million dollars in his lifetime not including the current 5yr/12 million dollar deal he is working with UCLA. If someone makes that kind of money but is working with momentum for recruiting and winning possible championships and then ultimately (possibly) over-recruiting USC as well. Is it worth it for him to stay especially since he has a very promising future at UCLA with all the resources or does going back to a possibly competitive job at Tennessee for more money?

To me I just don't see money as much of a factor especially if we are lookiing at offering him possibly 500-800 more.

It has been tweeted by a couple of reporters that Gruden would be named Vols new coach and leaks are getting out in the media..and yes some are saying it

Knoxville media doesn't have a clue, never have

reported in Nashville as done, reported in Chattanooga... so I just don't get that media is NOT reporting it

As these Gruden threads speed up, and eventually erupt in celebration and long after these threads of Gruden coaching rumors die (bc we will be talking about how awesome he is as our coach), I'll look back fondly on this meeting room we've all sat in, waiting ever so patiently for the chips to fall in our favor. I've been unproductive at work, my wife thinks I'm insane. It's been so worth it. Thanks to anyone who has contributed info, laughter, hate, skepticism, whatever.

I look back and say "The sheep have passed through the gate, they are come to the killing floor."

And then I say
"The buffalo had taken wings?"

And then to reassure her, I do a deliberate breech of etiquette and say this.

"The possum has crawled under the rock."

Not sure how far back the link is lost in this abyss of a thread, but someone posted a monster link to this unbelievably informative "gossip" article about ESPN...and it fully explained the Dilfer to MNF to replace Gruden.

Jimmy said it want happening. That should be enough confirmation for The Knoxville media, correct?
