Listed at 5-10, 171 on the new roster so I don't think he'll ever see the field at UT as a QB, but the kid appears to be a very good athlete (see his Hudl video below; maybe a future WR?)

Mize passed for over 3,000 yards & rushed for 1,500 his last 2 years at Calvary Christian (Clearwater, FL), then led his team to a state championship in baseball this spring.

He will see the field. Will he ever play on it?.....no, special teams maybe. Sometimes backup qbs hold the ball on an extra point

Well, we'll definitely see him on the baseball diamond next season and as far as football goes, we need a total collapse at QB for him to get some action. Here's hoping that doesn't transpire.

At 5'10", I don't see a lot of other position opportunities either unless he can cover real well.

Glad to have this guy. With his level of competitiveness there is bound to be a way to help the team. Good to have sharp scout team guys and who knows beyond that?

Rhymes better than *Theismann (before Notre Dame got his PR campaign rolling).

* Y'all old dogs remember... Jersey Joe and the magic diphthong.

Didn't he/ND change the pronunciation of his name to rhyme with Heisman? Wasn't it pronounced theese-man prior to that?
