Dilione not starting and JP assumed to be back? Maybe JP returns. And possibly Uros. ON keeps me guessing on returning. Probably not with a strong finnish and overseas opportunities to earn a basketball salary (See what I did there?).

Yes, agree on this. Dilione being on campus already is invaluable. Speculating, but in my opinion the only way he doesn’t start is if we bring in a very good 2G from the portal. JP assuming he returns, makes sense at the 3. We may be more athletic next year albeit considerably less experienced. Big question..will we possibly make another run at Yuri Collins? I know it may not make sense given ZZ’s progression but my goodness with 2 playmakers on the court at the same time, would be interesting.

I don’t think so, those 2 are pretty similar in style and obviously both undersized…I do think you could add someone but I just think they’d be a little bit of a bigger PG/CG, someone you could play alongside Zeigler.

Perhaps, but sort of begs the question. They pursued him last year and similarities were the same. Relationship with Rod Clark is established. Different classes. I live in the Lou so see Collins a lot. I’m no insider so have no idea what they will do but they pushed hard for another PG last year in the portal, swung and missed. ZZ isn’t the type of player to be threatened by anyone.

Could see them go for a shooter given we lose both Vescovi and Key along with another front court player.

11 player rotation may be hard to manage. At least 2 of these will have little play time. Would hate to decide which two . Looks like a strong roster, maybe not quite as strong as current.

I would think Mashack would start early as Barnes prioritizes defense and he’ll probably improve his offense in the offseason. Maybe Dillione starts by SEC play though

I think there was question as to what Zeigler would be, not sure even the most optimistic of folks thought he’d be this good, so that changes things a bit imo.
