Not sure what you’re looking at.

Ohio St and A&M aren’t good offers? (Redmond)

Michigan, A&M, Ole Miss, AUB, LSU, FSU have all offered Arnoux.

Clemson, AUB, LSU have all offered Lewis.
So obviously they have good talent if those teams offered scholarships to them. Hate to say it, @The Original Fade, but they might be as good or maybe even slightly better than the offensive side

I can remember being blistered by this forum for not supporting Uncommittable offers.

Tennessee will have 23 players from this current class who enroll early and begin school in January. Some of those will arrive as early as this weekend to go through practice and travel with the team for the college football playoff.

The exact names are yet to be determined because some are still playing in state championship games, All-Star games and have other individual endeavors so the arrivals are a bit jumbled and some are still up in the air.

Those that are starting class in January:
Brenden Anes

Justin Baker

Da'Saahn Brame

Mariyon Dye

Christian Gass

Radarious Jackson

Dylan Lewis

Jaydin Loftin

George MacIntyre

Nic Moore

Daune Morris

Antoni Ogumoro

Tre Poteat

Tyler Redmond

David Sanders Jr

Travis Smith Jr

Ethan Utley

Jack Van Dorselaer

Sidney Walton

Jaedon Harmon

Jadon Perlotte

Isaiah Campbell

Tim Merritt

How can we justify giving a scholarship in 2025 to some of these lower ranked Highschool recruits versus an upper class transfer that can contribute next year? The non top tier recruits will likely sit for two years, then transfer out. It seems strange that we are limited in what we can do in the transfer portal because we signed 25 high school recruits (including a few head scratchers). Would love to hear others thoughts?

Because some of those 3 star recruits outperform their ranking and develop, or are late bloomers, and become studs with us. Some of them were missed by recruiting services altogether. If you've evaluated a player and believe they can develop into and SEC caliber player and starter then you take them. If they leave you replace them. Invest in kids early and hope they honor that and stay.

If you haven't noticed the ones we've lost as freshmen and sophomores weren't contributors and went to lower programs.

In your scenario we would've taken the 4* RB Williams a few years ago and told Dylan Sampson to call us after a few years at a small school. Williams did nothing and transferred. Sampson was ahead of him on the first depth chart. If we had done what you suggest, because Sampson wasn't a "blue chip", he probably never would've worn orange.

It's amazing how many people still don't understand that recruiting rankings aren't science.
