Thought the game started at 19:00 hours and as a result missed the first half. Was disappointed after watching the second half. Only the one-sided-loss at Arkansas last year caused me as much frustration. I thought, Alabama dominated the second half with intensity and determination. They were clearly the more aggressive team. Four yellow cards (I think) in the second half on Bama speaks to the aggressive play. I thought Alabama's pressure on the ball was intense even to the point of being questionable (tripping players several times with little capability of getting the ball). Unfortunately, we didn't respond. I know we wanted to win but didn't seem to respond well to Alabama's intensity. Alabama seemed to be better conditioned than our players. They repeatedly closed faster on 50/50 balls.
We not only struggled clearing the ball but when we did get it to midfield we usually lost it after one or two passes due to alabama's intensity, quickness and anticipation of our passes. Our inability to control the ball at midfield caused us to try and get the ball in the attacking third with balls over the top. Unfortunately, Alabama was just quicker to the ball.
Really enjoy watching this team play. Hope they can fix the problems. We can still win the East.

MATCH CENTRAL: UT at Kentucky
Tennessee hits the road for a 1 p.m. ET matinee at Kentucky on Sunday that will be streamed on SECN+.
The Lady Vols (5-3-1, 1-1 SEC) fell to #6 Alabama at home in their last outing, 4-2. Sophomore Jordan Fusco and senior Claudia Dipasupil were the goal scorers for UT (5-3-1, 1-1 SEC). Fusco connected with a rocket from long range on UT's first shot of the game, and Dipasupil added a second by way of a penalty kick. In the net, senior Lindsey Romig tied her career high of nine saves set last Friday at Florida.
Kentucky (7-3-0, 0-2 SEC) is coming off a 2-0 loss at Vanderbilt on Thursday.
UT owns a 16-12-3 advantage in the all-time series against UK and is 6-4-2 when playing in Lexington. The teams last met in Knoxville on Oct. 28, 2021, when UT won 2-0.

SHE SHOOTS, SHE SCORES: Senior Claudia Dipasupil netted a PK for the second straight game on Thursday against Alabama, keeping her collegiate record a perfect 4-4 from the penalty mark.
GIRL ON FIRE: Jaida Thomas has racked up eight goals and two assists over the last eight games to lead the SEC in total goals and tie for first in goals per game and points per game. Her 0.89 goals per game ties for seventh in the nation, and her 2.00 points per game ties for 11th.
ROMIG IN THE RECORD BOOK: Current SEC Def. Player of the Week, Lindsey Romig, sits at third all-time in the Tennessee record book with a save percentage of .797, and her career goals against average of 1.00 ranks fifth. She is sixth all-time in career saves with 200 and ties Shae Yanez at third in most career shutouts (21).
