We had at least one in state DT that would have crawled to get here in Tim McAdoo from Oakland and I bet if we had gotten on Brandon Ivory earlier we could have had him as well.

Don't understand why we would be after Raquis Crump and not go after Avery Williamson. I'm not down on Crump, I just see some other guys from in-state that I think would have been nice to have as well.

Yeah!!! but we got Sapp and Crump...Lol

Almost got Jon Brown, the 4* DT from Memphis, not the JUCO guy...oh I forgot....we did not offer him.... Dang...
Mcadoo the DT from Murfreesboro that is settleing for KY. ...Oh yeah...we did not offer him either...Dang. We really do need some DT's or one..

It's gonna get better
Way to stay optomistic my friend. This has started off very poorly.

i agree today looks like a downer. i don't blame dooley except for copeland. he needed to get his staff together and it cost him. the guy i really blame for the mess we are in is mike hamilton. his arse needs to go.

Just puzzling with our lack of DT depth, why we wouldn't be after these guys, even when we thought we had Copeland.

What's the holdup on Chuck Smith being named DL coach? Does he have to get the ok from the new DC?

Is there some reason they shouldn't be killing him? Copeland had been committed for a while, and somehow DD managed to choke at one of out most needy positions.

I got killed on the crump thread last week for saying the same thing. Lets see how it goes today.

It makes NO since. There were 4 DT in this state with a 3* rating or higher. We did not offer any I dont think.( not Sure)

UT will NOT win this conference without DL help. That is obvious. I just don't get it. A dc or Line coach would have helped.

Now lets move on to another recruit, we gotta fet this turned around..

If two staffs failed to offer these guys, it's probably because they did not want them.
Our staff's evaluations>Your evaluations (aka looking up a rivals page)

Stanley doesn't hurt as bad, IMO, because I don't think he could have gotten in here anyway and he was pretty much gone after his visit to USC last weekend. Copeland hurts because he suppposedly told LSU thanks, but not thanks, then signs with them. But what hurts the most is that he played DT.

I have had a bad feeling that Rogers might change his mind too today, but hopefully I'm just getting cold feet because of what has already happened. If McAdoo hasn't signed his papers yet, we need to call him:)

I can see why people get mad at these kids. Didn't Copeland just reaffirm his commitment 2 days ago? Why not say 'no comment' or go ahead and tell the UT coaches he was going to LSU so they could make contingency plans.

Copeland hurts, I wasn't expecting to get Ambles or Stanley so that wasn't as big a deal.

Not by me. I thought the DD hire was a joke from day one, and this morning seems to be validating most of my feelings.

We are flopping bad so far. Ambles and Stanley signed with USC, Copeland signed with LSU. And Ralph Williams signed with Ole Miss. Where is some good news?

Dooley isn't a joke, he hasn't even been here 3 weeks yet. I'm willing to give him a bit of a pass in holding on to what we had, for the most part, and apparently adding Rogers, although at this point, I'm nervous about that.

BTW, Ralph Williams was waivering long before El Douche left for the West Coast. Ambles was in love with Kiffin and Stanley didn't have the famous JUCO math class to get in here anyway. I'm not sure we should blame him for Copeland yet anyway. You can't just rush to hire anybody to get one recruit. It's worth it to hire the right coaches and get them in place even if it costs a recruit or two. JMO.

We should have a DC right now in Justin Wilcox.

rivals radio which is sportscentral on sirius called "Wilcox to Tenn" all but a done deal. Said it should be announced soon although they didn't know if it would be announced today. They had nothing but praise for the hire and said it "was Dooley at his best."

What does that even mean? 0/3? You're counting guys as losses, but no gains?

Are you considering us 1/4 now, with Rogers being the 1...not that that even makes sense. The math doesn't work out....if every commit or guy you wanted, but you lose, counts against you, and only surprises count for you...you will almost always have a bad looking ratio.
