Petty looks better on film to me. He has a better release and better arm. Evidently still not enough for Kiffin to be interested.

Ted Landers is slow and has a very very slow release. He has a decently strong arm but Ted Landers is so inaccurate the he's two years away from correcting his accuracy problem even with 5 days a week hands on QB schooling and he may be uncorrectable. His rushing yards are laughable. He rushed for 20 yards total his junior year and 65 yards total his senior year meaning that his is afraid of getting hit. So in 26 games, he rushed for less than 100 yards combined total. Is this something we want over here at Tennessee? No I don't think so. He got beat out his sophomore year in high school and he left the school to go to another high school otherwise he wouldn't have started until his senior year in high school and then I hear that the junior would have started over him his senior year if Landers would have stayed at "South Torrance High School" in California. Landers cannot run a 4.8 - 40 yard dash like Rivals says as that is a mistake. Landers may be able to break a 5.1 - 40 yard dash. So outside of Landers' height, Landers has a sloth slow release, bad foot work, bad accuracy and is afraid to run. D3 is where Landers belongs, not at Tennessee or any other D1 school at that. :eek:k: I am not banging on the kid but let's keep him in the proper college football prespective.

I like this,

"I'm not banging on the kid, but I just think he is a god awful quarterback, and a terrible terrible person. I hope he is a miserable failure in his future endeavors."

XTennesseX - why are you ragging on me man? I just stated the facts. We are talking about a top notch program in Tennesse and every year have a possibility of being in the top 5 and when someone brings up a new recruit's name, people have to do their due diligence on any kid/prospect. I did mine on Landers. Just because he is tall, this doesn't mean anything if you cannot play. Do you think that averaging 130 yards in the air each game and running for an average of less than 4 yards a game is is stellar enough qualifications to hand out a scholarship for unqualified athletes? Ba Humbug! Not only that, the league Landers played in isn't known for their QB prowess and in any other league in his area there are three better QB's than Landers. That is not a throwing league and not a QB league at all and the league Landers was in before he transferred was much more of a passing type of league and Landers didn't cut it there and this is why he was benched and had to move on to another school. So please don't crucify the messanger here and look at the facts and the facts are that Ted Landers doesn't have what it takes to play with the big, talented boys.

You've just described the second coming of Erik Ainge... no thanks. And incidently, Ainge was beaten out in his sophmore year by Rick Clausen.
