I cannot believe you are claiming Crompton looked good in those games when Ainge was hurt. Those games are why I knew we were in trouble with Crompton getting the starting job after Ainge. He looked flat out bad in those games. Meachem made some amazing plays that saved his butt.

Well its simple, lets bring in some more Meachems (Stokes, Green, Carroll, Brown, etc.).. the receivers didnt help Crompton out any last year either

I'm going to have to call you on this one. The WRs were open and Crompton couldn't get it there.

Either of these things are the cause:
1) the WRs deviated from the route to get open, and Crompton couldn't adjust
2) they ran their routes well and Crompton didn't make the right reads and didn't throw to the open guy
-or-
3) Crompton just can't put the ball where it needs to be because of his shoulder injuries.

There, I think, is some definite weight to 3, but I think 1 and 2 were most prevalent. Crompton wasn't making the right reads. Period.
