#1 Alabama vs #11 Florida Game Thread (CBS 3:30PM EDT)

So it’s ok for Florida to enjoy a moral victory but when we do it, we’re considered delusional?

Not enjoying a moral victory, but we still have a lot of football to play and can be back in SECCG again. We still control our destiny. Playing them this close gives me hope against Jawja.

Maybe. But you know they still have to play the game. And VN was picking Pitt to go 10-2 after last week. Look, realistically I know how it's going to end, but **** happens.

Ummmm, maybe the same portion that was saying this was a 9 win UT team.

This.

Right now it's hard to tell what all this really means. It could mean Alabama is worse, it also could mean Florida is better (or both). It could have been a close game that Alabama hasn't had in a while that gets them focused.

I don't think Ole Miss has the defense to beat them, and TAMU right now seems really overrated.

Bama has a really young offense, prone to getting really hot or really cold. The defense is experienced, but still coached by Pete Golding. This team could go undefeated, but there are several teams capable of beating them, starting with Ole Miss in two weeks.

Sure hope Florida has little in the tank next week. Need any edge available.

I expect them to bounce back fine. They played Bama to the last play, they were expected to lose by more than 2 tds, and they'll have plenty of media saying they played almost well enough to get it done.

And they know that if they win the East they get another shot at them. That'd pretty good motivation.

I don’t really get how vol fans can cheer for Florida since they’re in our division. Makes no sense
Exactly. Talk about having a moral victory and a defeatist line of thinking . It’s like we are already conceding our spot in the division . I get it, but we haven’t started our conference games yet. The ball takes some funny bounces every now and then.
