To win the SEC this year, according "ESPN analytics"

We were 2 scores away from beating Georgia last year and walloping LSU again in the championship game, that's how close we were to winning the SEC.

I'm starting this thread because I want to bump it again at the end of this season when we have an SEC title in hand, as a reminder of our "1% chance according to ESPN"

As I've said, when the conference is a ridiculous 20 teams fans will be celebrating and raising banners for coming in 5th. That's
one of many reasons (the others being NIL--a corrupt joke--and the twice a year transfer portal) why, as Lane Kiffin said at SEC Media Days yesterday that college football was a "disaster."

Ole Miss coach Lane Kiffin didn't wait for questions on the impact of the transfer portal and name, image and likeness deals at SEC media days on Thursday. Instead, he addressed both topics during his opening statement, calling the current state of college football a "disaster."
Kiffin prefaced his comments by saying he's happy that players can get paid but that the unintended consequence of NIL is a "pay-for-play" system where players follow the money and the teams with the deepest pockets get the best talent.

With the transfer portal, Kiffin said, "free agency" now exists -- except that, unlike professional sports, every college player can enter into free agency twice a year with the spring and winter transfer windows.

Said Kiffin: "We've got professional sports," except with no salary cap or luxury tax, and the result is myriad "issues" for coaches.

UT ran out of players. They managed depth brilliantly but eventually they just didn't have the guns. They came that close to winning the East or making the playoff at large... after getting what chance to do any of that this time last year?
Pretty much confirmed that was the issue when I watched the orange bowl. Defense looked brand new.

Everything gets settled on the field. Best of luck in shaming that computer

Kiffin Translation: I'm looking for a job at a school with the NIL money at or near the top of the list.

Either stop whining or stop watching college football if its such a, "disaster". The players are finally getting some autonomy and money after being taken advantage of for decades. They deserve far more of both.

If we have a 1% chance, then what were Vandy's chances? This analytic sounds like complete bs.

Tennessee plays Georgia and Bama, not only are those two favorites to win the conference their favorites to be in the playoffs. Tennessee also must win in the swamp; Florida is down but that will not be an easy task for Milton. Add in Texas A&M as big a dumpster fire as they’ve been being a very talented team with a revamped offensive staff. That’s a hard road compared with Georgia’s schedule.

If Lane was at a school with as many rabid fans as those who are winning the NIL game he wouldnt be whining.

And i still dont know why they say this os school money. It isnt.
