As I've said, when the conference is a ridiculous 20 teams fans will be celebrating and raising banners for coming in 5th. That's
one of many reasons (the others being NIL--a corrupt joke--and the twice a year transfer portal) why, as Lane Kiffin said at SEC Media Days yesterday that college football was a "disaster."

Ole Miss coach Lane Kiffin didn't wait for questions on the impact of the transfer portal and name, image and likeness deals at SEC media days on Thursday. Instead, he addressed both topics during his opening statement, calling the current state of college football a "disaster."
Kiffin prefaced his comments by saying he's happy that players can get paid but that the unintended consequence of NIL is a "pay-for-play" system where players follow the money and the teams with the deepest pockets get the best talent.

With the transfer portal, Kiffin said, "free agency" now exists -- except that, unlike professional sports, every college player can enter into free agency twice a year with the spring and winter transfer windows.

Said Kiffin: "We've got professional sports," except with no salary cap or luxury tax, and the result is myriad "issues" for coaches.
Same as it ever was Lane. Same as it ever was. Only difference is that now the money is on the table for all to see.

No it’s not
Yes it is. We were never in the game. The offense never got going because they were a bad matchup for us. They has an NFL defense. Every single starter and most of the backups on that squad with get an NFL check at some point. Our defense actually held them. But they were the one team equipped to slow us down. They won the freaking natty its nothing to be embarrassed about. They were the best team in the country by far. Its ok. We are getting there and way ahead of any reasonable schedule.

I can’t unsee that now. I hate you.
That is the most cringe thing I have seen in quite a while. I think we should flood them with links to it. If I were a recruiter I'd want nothing to do with anyone associated with that.

"Our" University of Tennessee has had the most stunning turnaround of any college football program over the past 2 years. We managed to get into the Top 4, if for only a week, and beat a reputable Clemson team in the Orange Bowl. We have the nations highest octane offense and a head coach who is probably one of the top 5 most sought after coaches in America right now. Our fan base has awoken and Neyland Stadium is rocking. Wait, how many times did Game Day come to UT last year???

This 1% is BS of the greatest magnitude. But that is ok w me, because we WILL be in the hunt for the East and overall SEC crown again this year, and maybe we just need to embarrass the doo doo out of these so called expert prognosticators (again) so that they are forced to reckon with the fact that The Big Orange is alive and well and hungry once again. Go Vols!

Once again, I will say that the tendency of certain VolDawgs to rush to make sure uga is in no way slighted, and to seem to revel in pointing out a Tennessee loss to them amazes me. It doesnt really happen regarding Bama, Florida, etc. But let a fan in here insinuate that we did anything good in the uga game, and 5 to 10 Vol fans will quickly feel the need to throw water on that idea quickly. And usually take a swipe at their own team while they are doing it.

Darnedest thing ever.

uga. Trash program. Most annoying fans in sports.

Players jump, coaches jump, seems everyone jumps teams except fans
