I mean look at how our Defense has performed outside of Alabama where Bryce Young did Bryce Young things and Florida, Where Anthony Richardson gave us his fastest fast ball he could give and played out of his mind.

Pitt has less than 300 yards of total offense and 2 turnovers. An INT and a fumble
Florida, even with them giving us the best performance of the year for them still had 2 Turnovers. An INT and a fumble
LSU had 350 total offense (We had 502) and 2 Turnovers. An INT and a Fumble
Alabama had a Fumble
Kentucky had 3 INTs

The cupcakes had 6 turnovers among them.

Our Defensive stats are heavily skewed by a few things: A crazy game against Florida, a shootout with Alabama, Playing Walk ons against UTM in the second half (and talented FCS Players > Walk ons) We are 82nd in total Defense but when you break it down in a Yard Per Play we jump to 44th. Our Defense has played 605 plays this season. That's 2nd in the SEC. The only Defense that has played more plays is Ole Miss. The Narrative that our defense is porous is greatly exaggerated.
Also, Napier went for it 6 times and converted 5; how often does that happen. Against a normal team Fla. would never go for it six times.

Some of us gray beards have seen it before, but you have to go way back to the late Dickey-early Battle years. Gang tackling was their calling card and they generated a ton of turnovers.

And back then gang tackling almost every play was a lot more feasible. Today's game is so fast it's an angles game.

Great breakdown. I keep telling people this. The eye test of the current defense and the 82cd ranking just doesn't match.
Competitor fans want to point out that secondary ranking of ours. But we are 8th in the nation in run defense. Very hard for a QB to stand in the pocket and go through recievers with our DL and LB's stunts and blitzes.

I think with Bama, it was a case of a perfect storm of injuries/bogus charges and two Heisman level QBs showing why they're heisman level QBs. Hooker made their defense look like ass as well.

With Florida, I am convinced we chose the wrong game plan and suffered from it. We saw what Anthony Richardson did to Utah and thought it was him doing it to Utah when the further we get from it the more I'm convinced the PAC12 isn't that great of a conference and conditioning played a major factor. Utah coming from the Rocky Mountains to the Swamp is a major adjustment they probably weren't ready for in week 1.

I find this shocking to believe actually. I mean Kudos but it doesn't feel like it
Yeah it does.
We've gotten a turnover in EVERY game this season.

All y'all see is yards given up...
