Ky's defense was stifling in that last 2 minutes.

They got some tv timeouts and regular timeouts and caught their 2nd wind.

The best news about today is that someone had to lose. Since I really hate Candy, I'm glad they lost.

Unless Ky is disinterested, they are going undefeated in SEC play including the SEC tourney. If they don't make the Final 4, I'll be stunned.

Syracuse could give them trouble with the zone, but I don't see anyone beating them. It might be good for them to lose one before the tourney, but I don't see it.

They could lose late in the SEC tourney if Davis has to play ridiculous minutes like tonight. Kentucky went 6-deep tonight IIRC.

In case anyone didn't know, Candy starts 4 seniors and 1 junior and Ky came in with a bunch of freshmen and sophomores and a senior and won.

That's why you take talent over experience every day.

He was tired, but that timeout that Candy took and then the tv timeout gave him second wind.

Hell, it would be tough for me to take him out too. Even at 50% he's better than most of the players out there.

My 3 key matchups were:

Davis-Ezeli, MKG-Taylor and Jones-Goulborne.

Ky won 2 of those 3. Ezeli didn't have a bad game, but he's no Davis. Taylor got the best of MKG, but Taylor has been better than anyone he has faced almost every time. Jones owned Goulborne.

Tinsley came up huge for Candy. I didn't see that. I don't think Cal or Ky did either. He almost came up big enough to get them the upset.

Candy was held to only 30% FG shooting. They took 31 3's and hit 8 and took 10 more shots than Ky.
Ky will roll Candy in Rupp.

They should all turn in their fan cards. I mean this says around the NCAA , not vfl *****fest. Cat pause memberships for them all.
