Well we just retired a guys jersey, ah nevermind. Mack had some good teams at Chatt-nooga and seemed to be a good coach. I do miss the Mocs fielding a strong team and making an occassional run in the big dance.

McCarthy did have some good teams at UTC. However, the fact he didn't have great success at VCU leads me to believe he would have struggled at UT. He would, however, have been preferable to Jerry Green.

Yeah I believe he would of gotten more out of the talent Green was handed! Strict but still a players coach.

Mack was a solid tactician. Also, I should amend my earlier statement. Mack liked younger women. He never engaged in any conduct that would have been illegal.

when i opened this topic, i never thought I would have the chance to say, "if there is grass on the field, play ball." but alas, I do.

The reason I left the ACC out was I said I think it'll take place within the next year or two. The only shot the ACC has this year or probably next season for a #1 seed is UNC and I don't see them losing to a #16 seed. I can however see a team like a Wisconsin, Texas A&M or a Kansas getting beat by a 16 seed.
